This is probably good news to the car nuts who restore & do up cars...
I've got an extended family member who is a self employed mechanic he knows how much car parts costs on different makes & models, how some cars are really pieces of euro trash...
Anyway, for soo many bloody yrs in his workshop unit, he's got this lovingly restored 1985 VK crapadore manual sedan in this stupid burgundy colour.
We get the cars serviced with him, I can't help but laugh when hubs & him get all excited when they look @ this car, it's a vintage I suppose. These grown men acting like excited dodos, he dosent wanna sell it ..yet, I think they'll be a demand fot it by some hoon..
I think the Monaro is probably worth keeping, in terms of resale ...don't think they produced a lot of these..
Newjerk? can you try harder than dig up another person's blog. If I were a betting man I would guess the VK is a 5 liter calais Blondie? I agree with you on the monaro. The GTO, specifically ticks all the boxes to become a future classic. To further cement its future position to stardom, Holden exported the monaro under the Pontiac GTO moniker.. it even starred as the main attraction to at least one film.

Fuck that. Second hand cars are for people like you.
Sensible people who don't want to lose $15k for simply driving it off the lot and people who don't steal others' houses.
Wanker.
stinkbug omosessuale Frank Castle is a liar and a criminal. He will often deliberately take people out of context and use straw man arguments. Frank finally and unintentionally gives it up and admits he got where he is, primarily via dumb luck! See here Property will be 50-70% off by 2016.

Yep and the yanks got them for about $30k They gave us back their version for over $100k Yet the jeeps are here for UNDER $30k and I thought there was a free trade agreement in place?

Because of my work, it's cheaper for me to buy a new car every three years rather than slum it with the masses (and no I don't lease). Your tax dollars help me have a new car every three years!

yeah funny about that.. just about everything I like is either a bad idea, too expensive, extremely fattening or illegal
From memory Holden were exporting the current generation statesmans to the Saudis long before they released them to the local market (I have no idea what they sold them for though). I reckon we have almost always paid too much for our cars regardless of where they came from with the exception of a couple of examples over time.. the guys in QLD importing the Japanese turbos during the early 90's would have made a shit load of money (the trend took a few years to catch on in melbourne, but they got a couple of years in before compliance plates became mandatory, so the guys here made some serious money for a brief window).
I never thought I would say this, but I would honestly drive a nice, black V6 Camry before driving a fwd commodore..

It's gonna be pretty hard for the jingoistic bogans to look like bad asses in a camry.

Yeah It's a Calais, he did put a lot of time effort & $$ to spruce it up, ...but it's a bogan car , will probably sell to a wet behind the ear teen rev head would get excited seeing this thing. It's treated like a vintage car kept undercover..occasional drives ..is not left out in public....quite immaculate condition.
As long as he dosent giv my hubs any stupid ideas ...it's enough he does the occasional boating /fishing going to remote areas with the "boys" for the fishing/camping....Gotta give them some male bonding time
I actually quite like the Monaro it's not as bogan like as the crappydore....

Australian Property Forum is an economics and finance forum dedicated to discussion of Australian and global real estate markets and macroeconomics, including house prices, housing affordability, and the likelihood of a property crash. Is there an Australian housing bubble? Will house prices crash, boom or stagnate? Is the Australian property market a pyramid scheme or Ponzi scheme? Can house prices really rise forever? These are the questions we address on Australian Property Forum, the premier real estate site for property bears, bulls, investors, and speculators. Members may also discuss matters related to finance, modern monetary theory (MMT), debt deflation, cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin Ethereum and Ripple, property investing, landlords, tenants, debt consolidation, reverse home equity loans, the housing shortage, negative gearing, capital gains tax, land tax and macro prudential regulation.
