I quite like them. But the bogan cut their own throat by being wankers about them. The act like they won the war single handedly and went over the top at gallipoli just because they drive a sv8 commie and work in some overpaid trade.
Anyway I don't really care too much. At least it will put downward pressure on house prices.
Re "Anyway I don't really care too much. At least it will put downward pressure on house prices."
Are you truly that dumb. Don't you realize the cheapest time to buy is right now.
Maybe if they made cars people actually wanted to buy things would work out better for them.
When was the last time you heard of someone getting excited about going into a Holden dealership to buy a base model commodore?
You mean the Korean take-aways where the transmission suicides at 70,000k?
Or how about the Great Wall. The public is stupid!

matt posted this on Nov 23, 2013 2012 Great wall x200 diesel 6 speed manual. Have had turbo intake blow off, replaced clamp, have had pipe between air intake and turbo melt and split, pipe replaced. Never the less, the Great Wall is a fascinating car!
The next trick of our glorious banks will be to charge us a fee for using net bank!!! You are no longer customer, you are property!!!
I do believe the PM when he says Holden are in two minds. It's clear they don't know what they're doing. First they throw over a billion at developing the VE, then they want to offshore development and build front wheel drive cars a few years later. They could have stuck with the previous gen chassis and kept refining it, not to mention save a billion dollars. I love Holden but they created this mess for themselves.. at the very least they could have kept going for another couple of years if they weren't such fucking boneheads..
Koreans are second only to the Japanese in quality and reliability these days.
my Holden left me stranded this morning but I blame Bosch for making alternators that only last ten years
The funny thing is I was stuck in a deserted car park and only saw a couple of people drive through, one of which was a mobile auto electrician who had no idea I could have used his services (no bullshit). It was like something out of a Cheech and Chong movie without the stoners..

If this announcement should result in the RBA cutting the cash rate, it will put upward pressure on house prices.
Maybe, but a loss of car manufacturing could put quite the dampener on sentiment, and how many jobs does Holden and Ford create in the wider economy?
You could probably say goodbye to a lot of car yards. Lots of mechanics work in those things. Spare parts, I don't know what else.
Have you bought yet Mr Watson? You said you were going to buy soon.

I know someone who's got a new commie, it's only about 3 months old, and the radiator or something stuffed up and they were left stranded.
stinkbug omosessuale Frank Castle is a liar and a criminal. He will often deliberately take people out of context and use straw man arguments. Frank finally and unintentionally gives it up and admits he got where he is, primarily via dumb luck! See here Property will be 50-70% off by 2016.

don't forget what happened to our property market during the GFC. Sentiment went down, they cut rates and prices went to the fucking moon.
There are a lot more people employed than unemployed and those people get to borrow more money. It's the irony of our system, or more correctly put, the way our system is used. It wasn't always the case.. we once 'had a recession we had to have'

Did Holden build the radiator?

Surely they have something along the lines of RACQ down there.
I have had no issues with my second hand commie in 3 years of ownership but in my last car if it couldnt be fixed by the RACQ roadside help, it would get stuck on a tilt tray and taken to a mechanic for free and once they even supplied me with a free rental car for 7 days when I had engine troubles when travelling.
