No... their own tax pays for them, and for you. Remember - migrants are generally higher skilled than you, and earn more money, so they pay more tax than you.

You are subsidised by migrants and property owners.

Yeah right. So the whole reason you've rented from a landlord like me your entire adult life is because of migrants?

Where did your own ancestors migrate from?
My ancestors came from the UK.

Migrants are not generally more skilled than me. Only a small portion of immigrants are skilled. Most immigrants are a cost.

You are a fraud.

As I said before, if migrants are such a boon then why does the western world have so much debt? We should be rolling in it yeah? We should be even a creditor country. Care to answer that one?

you wouldn't exist without immigration you stupid oaf.
Um, yes I would. My family has been here since the mid 1800s. We made it. It's mine, and the likes of you are stealing it. You stupid oaf.

What did they use for toilet paper? It's funny how the older you get the shorter the amount of time it feels like history was.

My lot were around country NSW dealing with sheep.

Now that was a well earned property boom. Turning a country from nothing but gum trees into something, unlike these latest parasites.

So it's OK for you to be descended from migrants, but it's not OK for new migrants to come?

Incorrect. The vast majority are skilled. They earn more than you and pay more tax than you.

And unlike yourself, they didn't spend 20+ years leeching off the Australian public health and education system before they entered the workforce.

1. Epic Fail! Steve Keen's Bad Calls and Predictions.
2. Residential property loans regulated by NCCP Act. Banks can't margin call unless borrower defaults.
3. Housing is second highest taxed sector of Australian Economy. Renters subsidised by highly taxed homeowners.
4. Ongoing improvement in housing affordability. Australian household formation faster than population growth since 1960s.

So the "Leached" of some other countries healthcare and education systems.

the bastards. :re:
Property acquisition as a topic was almost a national obsession. You couldn't even call it speculation as the buyers all presumed the price of property could only go up. That’s why we use the word obsession. Ordinary people were buying properties for their young children who had not even left school assuming they would not be able to afford property of their own when they left college- Klaus Regling on Ireland. Sound familiar?

The evidence of nearly 40 cycles in house prices for 17 OECD economies since 1970 shows that real house prices typically give up about 70 per cent of their rise in the subsequent fall, and that these falls occur slowly.

"Skilled" is obviously a loose term. I could spend a day learning how to make bread and be "skilled".

They are most definitely not better than me for the most part. For the most part they just do rudimentary jobs, that aren't needed.

You're the one who is leeching off the education and health systems. You're the one bringing in lots of unneeded immigrants in order to prop up your house prices, and then those immigrants become a cost.

This is why we have $300bn+ in debt. Because of you.

Australian Property Forum is an economics and finance forum dedicated to discussion of Australian and global real estate markets and macroeconomics, including house prices, housing affordability, and the likelihood of a property crash. Is there an Australian housing bubble? Will house prices crash, boom or stagnate? Is the Australian property market a pyramid scheme or Ponzi scheme? Can house prices really rise forever? These are the questions we address on Australian Property Forum, the premier real estate site for property bears, bulls, investors, and speculators. Members may also discuss matters related to finance, modern monetary theory (MMT), debt deflation, cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin Ethereum and Ripple, property investing, landlords, tenants, debt consolidation, reverse home equity loans, the housing shortage, negative gearing, capital gains tax, land tax and macro prudential regulation.

Forum Rules: The main forum may be used to discuss property, politics, economics and finance, precious metals, crypto currency, debt management, generational divides, climate change, sustainability, alternative energy, environmental topics, human rights or social justice issues, and other topics on a case by case basis. Topics unsuitable for the main forum may be discussed in the lounge.
