The alledged rape was in 1986 !!! Are you all truely that stupid ...
What has any of that got to do with your supposed ability to detect mental illness from a photograph?
"If man is to survive, he will have learned to take a delight in the essential differences between men and between cultures. He will learn that differences in ideas and attitudes are a delight, part of life's exciting variety, not something to fear." - Gene Roddenberry

If you were raped and of a sound mind, you would of pressed charges in 1986.
Only a duplicite unsound mind would wait until 2014 (thats 28 years later) to take action.
Idiots you are ...
So, you're assuming that she is insane, so, you don't actually know...
Which oddly, invalidates this statement...

One look at her, and I can see she is lying.
She's a nutter !!!
You still haven't provided any evidence of your supposed ability to detect mental illness from a photograph.

Understand that in some cases of rape the victim doesn't always make a complaint quickly .
There's the feeling of complete shame & degradation in what's happened its not about sex but control. When it's someone you know (majority of rape is done by one who is trusted not a stranger) it's very difficult to say it. Also, if the perp is violent there's no way in hell a complaint would be made easily. If you hear the word "no or stop" it's not consensual .
I'm certainly not trying to exonerate this particular case but I'm trying to highlight the fact that victims are seriously traumatized sometimes.
Newjerk? can you try harder than dig up another person's blog. SENIOR police were concerned federal Labor leader Bill Shorten could try to “conjure up a version of events” if he became aware of an investigation into a historic rape allegation against him too early:

Back in 1986 we , as Leodwald would put it- were Muslim in the way we handled rape.
Cops rarely prosecuted, and depending on what "a looker" the victim was, might even share the forensic photographs (naked shots showing the bruising to genitals, breasts etc) around to other police stations for the lads to have a perve at.
Dont forget, 1986 was the height of the "green light" and the apex of police corruption including police standing over child prostitutes for ' a drink'.
In 2014- we still havent weeded out nsw police corruption covering up rapes, and a P.I.C. inquiry into the matter is about to commence.
You mad bastard.

There was a different tenor to the times back then (which prevented many rape victims from coming forward) and combined with the impulsivity of youth, the possible consumption of illicit substances at the conference, being away from their home environment and, most of all, the vigour with which the accuser is pursuing Shorten it would suggest the allegations are not entirely baseless. However, we'll never know what signals she may have given him prior to the incident (assuming there was an incident). There may be some mitigating circumstances.

Yeah The factors you describe can be quite relevant but it doesn't excuse what circumstances define actual rape.
Thec"signals" can be confusing but "no" means "no"
I hope you aren't one of those men who think that by a wearing clothing that promotes their "assets" suggests ts that she is "asking for it ?"
No one deserves to be raped.
The what if can include:
Go to a party partake in the booze & have some coke, decide to call it a night & go to sleep to the hosts guest bedroom, am so out of it, I don't even remember who has sex with me?
Or the levels of what flirting does what mixed messages it produces to either the male or female? Just a tease or was the messages misunderstood?
Witness someone who knows he did it but it's too shameful to report it because she blames herself only?
About police?
Yeah there's some bad apples that will always be maggots.
I recall an incident (drug, club & pubbing Single days).... when I was picking up one last GF in North Freo (it's 15.6kms South West of Perth), we are a gaggle of girls the 4 of us & I'm yes speeding in the right lane to get to a Nite club to Perth.
So we are all dressed looking fantastic to impress the single dudes, flirt playfully & have fun.
A few Kms in I notice a car following, but I didn't consider to take a good look who was driving ATM as I'm concentrating on talking with the others. This car followed us until we were about 2kms from the city centre, on comes the blue light & I think shit I'm going to get done for speeding (I was over 12kms in some 60 zones).
The driver is in his uniform & the other remains sitting in the passenger side he asks me for my licence & gives me a lecture meanwhile looking solely at my boobs. I just smile sheepishly & expected a ticket... Then he says "Have a fun night & be careful there's alot of Police out there"
I felt like saying that's a weird thing to say but I zipped it. Also I find it strange that they followed us for quite a few Kms.
I have found that if you are attractive you can get away with stuff more easily. Oh & always play polite.
