I know this will be to painful for you to watch. I know that, but i still have a duty of care to try to help you. No matter how ignorant no matter how misguided you are i will still try to help you.
So if there is even a single brain cell left in your head please for your sake watch this clip.
You're starting to sound like an american fotbat. Try having a discussion with an american about their health care system, and why the sick should be left to die because they don't have adequate insurance. They have argued this line so much they are very hard to beat. But you can usually beat them down. Then they pull out the trump care and shout - 'but that's socialism' - as if that is even an answer.
The problem is - for most of your arguments - you could replace the word socialist with capitalist and it still works. They are nothing arguments from a school boy.
Whenever you have an argument with someone, there comes a moment where you must ask yourself, whatever your political persuasion, 'am I the Nazi?'

You either got it ..or you just don't , simple really.
The true heros are the individuals who use the merits of capitalism to their advantage.
The economy is run on fear & greed.
Sometimes, you do use unusual methods to explain your ideas, but I do get what you are saying most times.
Newjerk? can you try harder than dig up another person's blog. My first promo was with Billabong and my name in English is modified with a T, am Perth born but also lived in Sydney to make my $$ It's Absolutely Fabulous if it includes brilliant locations, & high calibre tenants..what more does one want? Understand the power of the two "P"" or be financially challenged Even better when there is family who are property mad and one is born in some entitlements.....Understand that beautiful women are the exhibitionists we crave attention, whilst hot blooded men are the voyeurs ... A stunning woman can command and takes pleasure in being noticed. Seems not too many understand what it means to hold and own props and get threatened by those who do. Banks are considered to be law abiding and & rather boring places yeah not true . A bank balance sheet will show capital is dwarfed by their liabilities this means when a portions of loans is falling its problems for the bank.

the health care system is a situation where someone is going to lose out no matter what you do.
it can not be run as a purely capitalist system as your health is priceless, you can literally be held to ransom for it. on the other hand, socialist systems are unfair and ultimately fall into ineffectiveness because they eventually run out of other peoples money to spend.
so how would i do it? the first thing i would do is get brutal with the natural remedy brigade, they suck huge amounts of money from the system and provide no benefit. the private health funds are the worst for paying them. i'd divert money to effective medicine.
i'd also wave hecs debts for medical degree holders who practice in the public system for 5 years.
i'd go hard for preventative measures, giving a big discount on the medicare surcharge for people who submit to a check up every 2 years with the condition they act on issues recommended by the doctor.

I agree to a point - but what about acupuncture?
... and the American's do run health care as a purely capitalistic system.

Thank you Blondie, It's not that i don't like these people it's that they are making such simple errors that effect us all. Thank you very much for your understanding. Peter

Yes, But if you can think of this. If people choose to live healthier the health system will shrink. The issue is this. The road to hell is paved with good intentions. And it is one hell of a road. Smooth quiet and slightly down hill. People set off with the very best of intentions. But before long corrupt people take over and the whole system turns into the very opposite of what the original intention was. Take the Catholic church. Did Jesus intend to help the disenfranchised?? Did he give his life for human kind? We know the answer to these questions. What did that end up becoming in the form of the Catholic church? And please understand i am not against the Catholic church. Just please look what happened. Peter

Yes preventing a fire is far better than having the best fire brigade. Peter :pop:

Timmy,
Why is it, no matter what the subject, you arrive at the most ignorant ass red neck right wing conclusion possible?
Its actually a skill.
You should apply for a job with Fox news.
Property acquisition as a topic was almost a national obsession. You couldn't even call it speculation as the buyers all presumed the price of property could only go up. That’s why we use the word obsession. Ordinary people were buying properties for their young children who had not even left school assuming they would not be able to afford property of their own when they left college- Klaus Regling on Ireland. Sound familiar?
The evidence of nearly 40 cycles in house prices for 17 OECD economies since 1970 shows that real house prices typically give up about 70 per cent of their rise in the subsequent fall, and that these falls occur slowly. Morgan Kelly:On the Likely Extent of Falls in Irish House Prices, 2007

just for the record - you don't

"It were not best that we should all think alike; it is difference of opinion that makes horse races." - Mark Twain on why he avoids discussing house prices over at MacroBusiness. "Buy land, they're not making any more of it." - Georgist Land Tax proponent Mark Twain laughing in his grave at humourless idiots like skamy that continually use this quip to justify housing bubbles.

Hi Blondie, There is unfortunately a limit to intelligence but as we can see absolutely no limit to stupidity. Again i thank you for your words of understanding. I am looking for another investment. Peter
