It is rather strange that you think one of the biggest US allies in the region Egypt would be in US interests to be in turmoil. Why would the US want to see its ally in turmoil and open the door to radical Islamic parties taking over as we see now. It runs counter to US interest and 50 years of US effort in the region.
Mubarak was a useful long term Don to the US and Israeli Godfathers. But like all long time Dons he got slack and a bit to familiar with his masters enemies the Iranians and the Palestinians far to relaxed for his Godfathers agenda. So as the Godfathers do they whacked him for a newer better aligned and fresh Don.
Except this time the CIA plant of the Muslim Brotherhood wasn't what the Sauids wanted just like what they done in Iraq and this pissed them of. Thats why when the Saudis got the Muslim Brotherhood and they first fell there was not much out of Washington. So who knows how it ended up except that the US sent in their Dogs of War and the results are clear to see.
Interesting. France is putting a tough UN resolution up that demands Syria hand over all chemical weapons to international inspectors for destruction or face serious consequences. This is being filed under chapter 7 of the UN which includes the use of military force.
Russia seems on-board with it, im sure with some words changes, time limits will also need to be imposed. The US will not accept it not being under chapter 7 otherwise they will just strike now.
Hopefully they can reach an agreement and Syria will comply, well they will have no choice as Russia supplies the arms which keeps the Government from losing the war to the rebels.
In the end if Syria can be disarmed of its chemical weapons without more bloodshed it is a good outcome from all and helps to keep the conflict localised. It could also build trust between the US & Russia and pave the way for a diplomatic solution to the war in time.

This conflict has never been about chemical weapons which are merely a flavour of the month side show. Whatever disposition they come to on chemical weapons is also a side show and wont address the main solution, which is to get the terrorists out and leave the people of Syria alone.
Assad tells Obama to stop arming rebels, or no deal
President Obama must promise not to arm rebel forces or Syrian dictator Bashar Assad will not hand over his chemical weapons, the embattled leader told a Russian state media outlet today while demanding that Israel also surrender its nuclear arsenal.
“When we see that the U.S. genuinely stands for stability in our region, stops threatening us with military intervention and stops supplying terrorists with weapons, then we will consider it possible to finalize all necessary procedures and they will become legitimate and acceptable for Syria," Assad told RIA News.
Obama asked Congress to postpone a vote authorizing use of military force in Syria after Russian President Vladimir Putin offered to broker a deal whereby the U.S. would not attack the Assad regime if he surrendered his chemical weapons.
Assad said that the Middle East won't have peace until Israel also surrenders its weapons of mass destruction.
“If we really want stability in the Middle East, all the countries [in the region] must honor the agreements. And the first country to do so is Israel because it possesses nuclear, chemical and biological weapons – all types of weapons of mass destruction,”
"Witness to a Syrian Execution: “I Saw a Scene of Utter Cruelty
I don’t know how old the victim was but he was young. He was forced to his knees. The rebels around him read out his crimes from a sheet of paper. They stood around him. The young man was on his knees on the ground, his hands tied. He seemed frozen.
Two rebels whispered something into his ear and the young man replied in an innocent and sad manner, but I couldn’t understand what he said because I don’t speak Arabic.
At the moment of execution the rebels grasped his throat. The young man put up a struggle. Three or four rebels pinned him down. The man tried to protect his throat with his hands, which were still tied together. He tried to resist but they were stronger than he was and they cut his throat. They raised his head into the air. People waved their guns and cheered. Everyone was happy that the execution had gone ahead.
So now we have some major movement in the diplomatic front with Russia emerging as the good guys. Not only do the Russians have the second ranked global firepower they now have a leader that is saying "Nyet" to the US and its Israeli backers on the world stage and actually getting his way. Rumour has it that Russia also downed two US missiles, the launching of which was first denied by Israel, then they moved there position to is was war games only and they were not shot down.
US/Israel/Saudi 0 Rest of the World 1
No doubt the US will be at it now, busily looking for another reason to push the button.

he seems to have a credible background though i wonder what tipped him over the edge.
I think that he has had a gutful of the recent shenanigans of the US, Obama, Kerry and the intelligence community undoubtedly there is some major shit going down right now with respect to Syria.. With his knowledge of the interconnectedness of all the major global corporations and their deep down ownership structure when Kerry says things like "the intelligence community has high confidence" thats code for the ruling families have high confidence ie Cui Bono.
If you follow his writings, like i do, he seems to be getting darker and darker and maybe we are nearly at a trigger point for a major worldwide conflict, hence his despair.
