For security any cabled connection is better than wireless, with copper, you can pick up data through induction, no contact, no damage, with fibre you actually have to cut the cable to get a peek at the data, and anyway other than it being more difficult to tap fibre, both networks should be using encryption, while not negating risk, it does make it more expensive.
