No it's not. It's just the people who really want it are usually little gen y fuckheads brainwashed with PC.

It's not overpriced. $40bn is fuck all.

You consistently prove that you're a horrible old dislikeable person.
It is Obvious that wanting the NBN is the PC view. Now wipe that spittle from your chin.

So you reckon a Government Funded (Socialist) scheme to provide subsidized Premium Internet services to everyone regardless of class, as if addressing some supposed inequality is not PC.

Like I said, this is a very PC policy and those who want it are being PC.

There is some spittle still on your chin.

Spastic. Is wanting free public health and education PC?

PC is about racism and feminism, fool.

So if we go by what you say, the government subsidised property industry is also PC.

I am very calm today thank you. Maybe go and have your minties early today, you're clearly upset.

So by your argument rolling out any type of govt sponsored infrastructure is PC?

When Telstra used to put phone boxes out in bumfuck that cost a lot more to maintain than the 20c per call they charged sheep shearers to use was that PC?

High speed broadband isn't just for HD porn, it could hopefully help decentralise workplaces. But I suppose that wouldn't be a good thing for rent-seeking bulls profiting off housing supply shortages in major cities.

"politically correct
adj. Abbr. PC
1. Of, relating to, or supporting broad social, political, and educational change, especially to redress historical injustices in matters such as race, class, gender, and sexual orientation.
2. Being or perceived as being overconcerned with such change, often to the exclusion of other matters."

Class is also about PC, which you are obviously being re the NBN.

Why should a Premium Internet Service be available to EVERYONE, regardless of class. Its because this Policy is attempting to ensure the Lower classes aren't disadvantaged.

You PC types are ruining the country. 36 billion flushed !!!

you missed the point as usual. BP said a PREMIUM service is not the governments responsibility.

the existing telecomms infrastructure is perfectly fine. they are duplicating it at HUGE cost to the tax payer with no business case for it.

i'd support them expanding and doing something about area's where adsl speeds are low or non existent. that doesn't cost 40 billion fucking dollars.

a mate of mine is getting the NBN here in perth, he already gets adsl at 18mbit. why the fuck does he need the nbn?????

The average Australian internet speed is only 4.7Mbps. My parents house can only get 1-2mbps and when it rains it disconnects.

Most people aren't as lucky as your friend.

In a side note, did everyone see recently how Turnbulls NBN price of 29 Billion is assuming Telstra give him the copper for free? What a laugh that was. They are going to bend him over for that copper.

Also 44 Billion is not a huge amount of money for something that is going to last us 50 years and beyond. Its the equivalent of about 4-5 months of healthcare for our country.
