Another guy I met in Hoi An was in a similar boat, several years in Vietnam and very defensive about the ways of the people of Vietnam yet couldn't answer the simplest of questions on what happens outside of his "Tourist Town".........yet he to claimed to know it all?

Yep Pretty much anywhere that was reliant predominantly on mining and had prices go to to stratospheric levels is now taking a hit Just ask crazy dave/ted bullpit
Those in the area that werent mining reliant and had more modest - realistic gains are doing well as people go back to those areas for cheaper housing and better job opportunities
