SYDNEY isn't unaffordable, as a global survey suggested this week, it's just that first home buyers are too fussy and need to compromise if they want to get a leg-up on the property ladder, say western suburb agents. Of the major cities it looked at, the Demographia International Housing Affordability Survey found Sydney to be the third most expensive in the world, after Hong Kong and Vancouver. Agent Vince Movizio, of Ray White Fairfield, said while he ''couldn't imagine a first home buyer going straight into Mosman unless they've won Powerball'', in his area there were still plenty of affordable properties. There were units for less than $200,000, while good-size houses could still be bought for $300,000. ''I think they are very fussy,'' he said, adding the desire of these buyers to be close to the city was probably the biggest factor in their reluctance to move west. Louis Christopher, the managing director SQM Research, said those from the inner ring had to compromise if they wanted to become homeowners. ''This is all about status versus affordability,'' Mr Christopher said. ''Most first home buyers want to buy in the [inner city]. But the reality is because everybody else wants to live there, they can't get in because they don't have the budget.''

Worried that your $500k piece of shit fibro in some fucked suburb is going to crash eh?
Stop making shit up you toxic little bitch. It just makes you look even lower than what you are.
Does Louis have any proof that all or most first home buyers want to buy in the inner city? I certainly don't.
This story is clearly about parasitic scum like Frank and their ponzi which requires first home buyers to take on enormous amounts of debt and in which is now relying on grand treason via loose FIRB laws in order to keep it stable!
Oh, and desperate, half wit, poxy bogans like timmy who probably also has debt up the arse.
stinkbug omosessuale Frank Castle is a liar and a criminal. He will often deliberately take people out of context and use straw man arguments. Frank finally and unintentionally gives it up and admits he got where he is, primarily via dumb luck! See here Property will be 50-70% off by 2016.
