My partner and I have been struggling with our daughters friends ringing up and bluntly asking to stay overnight at our place always mid week I might add. We don't mind the sleepovers but this holidays has been over the top. The girls are from two parent working families and mostly the parents don't want to make contact with us when they get their daughters to ring. The funniest thing is on the weekends you would expect the parents to ring you and offer to have our daughter stay at their place. This doesn't happen and frankly doesn't bother us as my daughter likes staying home with us anyway.
We have always had either myself or my partner home full time while our children are young. I made the financial sacrifice for the good of my children. It's amazing to see how much other families are now struggling to make ends meet in their lives. I wonder if we said no wether those friends would be home alone during the week. It's sad really that either rent or mortgages can have such a great effect on family life.
We've been saying yes to those friends ringing up, and it's not just one of her friends, but its starting to bother us because we often go to the pictures or do other activities that cost us money and end up paying for her friends. We never get offers to reimburse us for doing that.
Times definitely are tough for some. Thinking of charging a small fee to cover our costs.

They've been suckered in by evil bitches like you.

You can't blame people entirely for unknowingly being fucked over by the bulls and mindlessly accepting that high house prices are a good thing.

But if they have ips that's a different story.

I think your friends just using you and your family. It is hard times for everyone, but if someone does something for you, you need at least to offer something in return.
