First one has an error, I put same cash balance as the 2nd one by mistake so total is about $1300 lower than stated. Will fix it next post.

Is this format preferable to those keeping an eye on portfolio performance?

I think Poontang is to be congratulated. He has had the balls to actually put his ideas on the line in a quantitative way.

The fact that it has not been a roaring success so far doesn't tell me his ideas are/were bad. It tells me that when the rubber hits the road, investing is harder than what the armchair spruikers who can revise history in hindsight whenever they feel like it would have you believe. There are some people who should take note.

This isn't working out at all is it. Did you really believe you can outsmart the house. If my kids were this stupid I wouldve given them a clip behind the ears with me rolling pin.............................

Missed this, Thanks MIW

Why are you surprised I didn't correct your mistake?
I only look at the totals and don't have time to go though the details.
You must be thinking of someone else who went through your details previously
I put trolls and time wasters on my ignore list so if I don't respond to you, you are probably on it ....

Poons what's your current stance on silver? did you sell purely because you think it will tank further or maybe just saw better potential elsewhere?

I am more bullish on Silver than I am on Gold.

Just in the case of the Portfolio thread I think AYN will outperform Silver ultimately so I have ditched the Silver to add more AYN holdings to portfolio. Portfolio still ahs an option to buy 3 million more at 1 cent each and if they hit 3 cents I will take up the offer.

AYN triples and it is circa 1.5 cents. Silver triple from here is looking at circa $70 and I think AYN has more chance of going 1.5 to 2 cents quicker than Silver has of reaching $70 at the moment.

I think you are fair dinkum (most non fair dinkum people end up on my ignore list) and actually impressed you keep posting updates despite it not going the way you hoped it would.
Of course I think your basis for comparison is still incorrect (why compare capital gains + yields of shares with capital gains only of property?) but that's your prerogative.

Australian Property Forum is an economics and finance forum dedicated to discussion of Australian and global real estate markets and macroeconomics, including house prices, housing affordability, and the likelihood of a property crash. Is there an Australian housing bubble? Will house prices crash, boom or stagnate? Is the Australian property market a pyramid scheme or Ponzi scheme? Can house prices really rise forever? These are the questions we address on Australian Property Forum, the premier real estate site for property bears, bulls, investors, and speculators. Members may also discuss matters related to finance, modern monetary theory (MMT), debt deflation, cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin Ethereum and Ripple, property investing, landlords, tenants, debt consolidation, reverse home equity loans, the housing shortage, negative gearing, capital gains tax, land tax and macro prudential regulation.

Forum Rules: The main forum may be used to discuss property, politics, economics and finance, precious metals, crypto currency, debt management, generational divides, climate change, sustainability, alternative energy, environmental topics, human rights or social justice issues, and other topics on a case by case basis. Topics unsuitable for the main forum may be discussed in the lounge.
