And here's the guy who did the chart:

Freddy Hutter

As you can see - yachting, snowboarding, dog owning. This guy is loaded. He knows finance.

The chart by itself doesn't prove a damn thing - it's one guy's opinion.
---------------------------------------------------------------

While it's true that those who win never quit, and those who quit never win, those who never win and never quit are idiots.

The chart seems to be showing that Australia is second of the four?

The UK bubble is claimed to not return to trend till 2056! Which if true suggests a more or less game over event for the UK economy.

Australia only has to wait till 2027 to return to trend

Based on this "analysis", in Yr 2000 one would have been a happy buyer of US property, and and agressive shorter of Australian property.

Gee that would have worked out well.

Perhaps there is more to property analysis than using "division".
(S – I) + (T - G) + (M - X) = 0

The only people keeping the bubble relatively propped up are the Chinese, no one else wants to come here. They'd rather go to the US or Europe, Australia is second and third choice.

It's like the Gold Coast of the late 80s early 90s mark 2. It's gonna be a doozy, I almost feel sorry for the bulls.

Frank Castle is a liar and a criminal. He will often deliberately take people out of context and use straw man arguments.
Frank finally and unintentionally gives it up and admits he got where he is, primarily via dumb luck!

But who is the Christopher Skase of the modern major bubble?

Will there be fleeing to Spain? Extradition attempts? Pixies?

Better get the popcorn stocked up. :pop:

Good question. I read an article on that Nathan Tinkler bloke the other day, sounds like all his wealth is based on fairy tales.

This one will be better though, it won't be just one person like Skase who will suffer, it will be a whole heap of Joe Blows down the road who think they're king shit and who have that swagger, arrogance and smarminess who will suffer.

They'll probably still think they're king shit, they'll just blame Julia, but at least they'll see the slight look of a smile and brightness in your eyes as you surreptitiously mock them and show them some much deserved schadenfraude.

Australian Property Forum is an economics and finance forum dedicated to discussion of Australian and global real estate markets and macroeconomics, including house prices, housing affordability, and the likelihood of a property crash. Is there an Australian housing bubble? Will house prices crash, boom or stagnate? Is the Australian property market a pyramid scheme or Ponzi scheme? Can house prices really rise forever? These are the questions we address on Australian Property Forum, the premier real estate site for property bears, bulls, investors, and speculators. Members may also discuss matters related to finance, modern monetary theory (MMT), debt deflation, cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin Ethereum and Ripple, property investing, landlords, tenants, debt consolidation, reverse home equity loans, the housing shortage, negative gearing, capital gains tax, land tax and macro prudential regulation.

Forum Rules: The main forum may be used to discuss property, politics, economics and finance, precious metals, crypto currency, debt management, generational divides, climate change, sustainability, alternative energy, environmental topics, human rights or social justice issues, and other topics on a case by case basis.
