What makes you think Boomers stay away from Thursday Island?
That may have been a little joke.
FWIW inner city Brisbane is inhabited by almost exclusively genX and Y'ers so the other cities may be the same. It's a kind of bachelor lifestyle though, would that suit you?
If you have children and need a suburban home, it would be impossible to escape any generation. Usually in the outer suburbs they are new families with children, that might suit, but closer suburbs would be a mix of generations.
Any expressed market opinion is my own and is not to be taken as financial advice

Yes, the inner city is shaping up nicely. Bachelor lifestyle suits me, but probably not my family.
I have children, but I don't think that means I need a suburban home. I'm not tied to a particular ideology when it comes to lifestyle, I march to the beat of my own drum.
My objective is to get some kind of political representation on any level. At the national level, all decisions will continue to be made to rob X to pay BB. This is just a political reality and there is nothing one can do about it other than emigrate.
At the local level however, it may be possible to get local planning and development decisions in line with what is better for me and those in my generation. Or not, the State Govt. has been pretty ruthless recently in taking Councils to the L&E court to satisfy the endless greed of BB property developers.

I still think these isolated islands are an excellent idea for you.
Or, you could look at countries with low median ages: Uganda, Mali, Niger, Yemen, and DR Congo are all great choices.
Barring that, you could try to participate in the Australian political process through expressing specific ideas or policies, and trying to achieve majoritarian support for those, from *all* citizens of voting age--what a thought!!

Any idea that doesn't involve increasing the tax burden on non boomers to transfer free money to same will never get political support.
To get a majority support, one needs the BB vote, but one cannot get the BB vote on any idea that doesn't result in a transfer of wealth to BBs from any other group except their darling Ys.
So your suggestion to 'express specific ideas or policies' to change that is preposterous.
And just to be clear, non BBs HAVE been expressing specific ideas and policies that would benefit ALL Australians for the last 20 years, but have been shut-down, shut-out or shut-up, and have consequently disappeared from the political dialog. Government policy is now by FIAT, and benefits those who hold the majority of power.
Given that I and my generation have no voice and have been politically disenfranchised, the only freedom that remains is WHERE I choose to live. And I CHOOSE to live away from those who have plundered the public treasury and passed the cost on to me and my children.
Is that OKAY with you? Or are you suggesting that where I live and the people who make up the community around me are NOT my choice?

Sorry, your whole post amounts to non-specific whining and hand-waving: about BBs purportedly being interested only in bypassing GenX in preference for GenY, about an alleged shut-out of non-BBs from political power, and about GenX "disenfranchisement".
Either you're simply trolling, or you lack the ability to make your case--let alone convince a larger audience--with actual arguments and examples.

Incidentally, I'm also GenX.
What case were you expecting me to make? Let me know and I will revisit tomorrow when I have more time.
I don't want to live in the same electorate as Baby Boomers. The reasons for which, you seem to be seeking a long political or economic discourse on. I may indulge you, but am first curious as to why you think it is important?
Are you saying that before I can live in a community without BBs, I have to convince you that I have the right to do so?
I'm not asking how to remove a section of the community at gunpoint, I am asking if there are already communities in which that section of the population have already VOLUNTARILY removed themselves from because they don't like it.
Let me know what you were expecting me to convince you (and larger audience) of.

What world are you from? He makes his case perfectly. The boomers have been pampered since the 70s and they very much demand it to continue which is why they have such an unnatural hatred for the Gillard government.
One of the reasons why we can't afford any infrastructure is because of old people and their demand for welfare, hospitals and their nimbyism.
stinkbug omosessuale Frank Castle is a liar and a criminal. He will often deliberately take people out of context and use straw man arguments. Frank finally and unintentionally gives it up and admits he got where he is, primarily via dumb luck! See here Property will be 50-70% off by 2016.
