I am not surprised to see that a number of members on APF have been banned from other property related forums. Anybody who describes themselves as a bull or a bear cannot provide a balanced discussion as they are clearly biased. The only way I can see poeple getting themselves banned is if they try and force their opinions upon others.
Common sense is a curse - those who have it need to suffer dealing with those who don't have it.
And yet, by Shadow's own admission, he and Strindberg keep getting themselves banned everywhere except APF and Somersoft.
Draw your own conclusions about their posting styles...
Haha. Wonder who will be the first to be banned from this forum. Alex is pretty tolerant so you would have to be a major idiot to be banned from here though.
I put trolls and time wasters on my ignore list so if I don't respond to you, you are probably on it ....
To be fair, bears are overrepresented when it comes to rabid abuse.
There's certainly an abusive lunatic fringe for both bull and bear camps.
At the moment I'd agree that rabid bear abuse is somewhat more prevalent than its polar opposite. But look back 12 or 18 months ago, and the reverse was true. Many of the former rabid bull voices (or puppets) have seemingly been silenced by recent price movements.
My personal prediction is that the overall dialog is destined to become nastier, and more pointless, as nationally prices move essentially sideways in real terms for an extended period of time (3-5 years, perhaps more). Every year will have 3-4 "tipping points" to bicker over, and a wide variety of different index movements (5-city, 8-city or national, sir? ABS, SQM, RP Data or Residex? Daily, monthly, quarterly, or annual measures? Would you like a cigar and brandy with that, sir?) to ponder and pontificate about.
A period like that might actually challenge the more reflective sort of bull or bear. But I doubt we'll see much reflection in the posts herein.

i'm currently trying to get myself banned from bubblepedia as they won't give instructions on how to delete an account. no success so far.
Give your login to strindberg or shadow ... i'm sure they can manage in no time They know exactly what sets those guys off
Just call Nomad/R2M a big old homunculus, that should get you a permanent ban in no time...
I do get the impression he suffers from Napoleon Syndrome (as does Pauk).
The four Amigos (Nomad, Pauk, Bobby and Bullion Baron) must have spent huge amounts of time typing out their deranged rants (plus all the previous ones on Bullion Baron's blog), but for what audience? Hardly anyone even visits their fail forum, and of those who do, nobody with half a brain believes or even cares about their nutty conspiracy theories about 'vested interest' sponsored astroturfing.

As we all come to the realisation that we are neither going to have a boom or a bust, I expect to see numbers on all forums tail away.
Eventually it will come down to just a few of us.
We can all meet somewhere for a cup of tea and some Tim Tams.
Coffee anyone?

Australian Property Forum is an economics and finance forum dedicated to discussion of Australian and global real estate markets and macroeconomics, including house prices, housing affordability, and the likelihood of a property crash. Is there an Australian housing bubble? Will house prices crash, boom or stagnate? Is the Australian property market a pyramid scheme or Ponzi scheme? Can house prices really rise forever? These are the questions we address on Australian Property Forum, the premier real estate site for property bears, bulls, investors, and speculators. Members may also discuss matters related to finance, modern monetary theory (MMT), debt deflation, cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin Ethereum and Ripple, property investing, landlords, tenants, debt consolidation, reverse home equity loans, the housing shortage, negative gearing, capital gains tax, land tax and macro prudential regulation.
