Hello all. A very nerve racking first post given the VERY strong opinions that seem to be held here. I've been reading through the various threads in this forum for about a month or so which is enough to give me the impression that you have to be classified as a "bull" or "bear" depending on which way you think house prices are playing. <snip>
Damo
House price falls will moderate somewhat over the next year or so as interest rates fall because of recession.
However, the RBA will run out of bullets, the govt out of ammo and price falls will then accelerate, quite probably for a further 5-6 years thereafter
Dont listen to Frank...he doesn't shit from shine whilst Shadow and Strindberg are both real estate lobbyists.
About 20% down over the next 2 years for me Is my guess.
I want to buy a house like nothing else for quality of life purposes and to live with my girlfriend but I can't ignore my brain and all the research I've done!
Renting for a year and reassessing at the end of it and probably rent for another year after that!
Dont listen to Frank...he doesn't shit from shine whilst Shadow and Strindberg are both real estate lobbyists.
I thought you said we are all one and the same? Make your mind up
