‘‘I’ve had people saying, ‘Surely the producers could have rigged it so that everybody could make money’. But why would we do that? Isn’t the whole point of the show that it’s not rigged?’’
Looks like the doom & gloom brigade celebrated too soon. :excited: Strong demand, solid prices and a 100% clearance rate. Did someone say a crash is coming?? LOL
When I read his/her posts it all sounds like PR speak to me Schooner. I suspect a vested interest with too much time on their hands. And going by the fact that he/she considers the block to have a 100% clearance rate, even though only only 1 of the 4 sold at auction, he/she may well be an agent. As a group they are happy to distort the truth.
The fact that he/she is so happy that these properties all sold at a massive loss, and says that is an indication of "strong demand and solid prices" confirms to me your assesment of his/her character.

More likely there's some funny business afoot.
I suspect someone from The Age is onto it already.
Damage is already done.... People watched the dud finale. The agents are being investigated. The show is OVER the end. Really enjoyed the segment on today tonight when they ripped it to shreds. I mean its understandable the other networks want to damage the show as much as they can, bless em. Perfect!

Thanks for confirming that the younger generation really are as stupid as I thought and believe everything that the MSM feeds to their pea sized brains.

Though the TV reality show The Block was a roaring ratings success, the finale fizzed with only the house of the winners (Polly Porter and Waz Jones) being sold on Saturday for more than the reserve price, while, on the same night, sisters Katrina Chambers and Amie Godde walked away with nothing after they sold their house at 41 Cameron Street for its reserve of $860,000 shortly after it was passed in.
Now the final two houses have sold, with Rod and Tania Walsh's property at 43 Cameron Street, Richmond, fetching $922,000 and Josh Densten and Jenna Whitehead's property at number 37 fetching a cool $1 million.
Rod and Tania's house sold on Tuesday in a ''mini-auction'' attended by six potential buyers, only one of whom attended the filmed auction at Fitzroy Town Hall on Saturday.
