SS will die a sudden death and I notice that many are now there questioning the myths that surround the property bubble.
Kick them out, so they join here and get some real data.....
Rude is your finger you gave to the bears that just wanted to participate..
I think Pauk is a little bit jealous of the financial gains a lot of the Somersoft members have had over the last 14 years.

The somersofties leave me speechless, they hock themselves to the eyeballs in a mountain of debt and for what ? So they can go to an early grave ?

Its not worth it fellas, stop playing with you're lives, you dont need to build that dream "portfolio" if it means losing you're health, family and sanity FFS !

Moving out of our really lousy rental property in Bardon to probably live in a tent on site for 6 months until I can finish the development in Mona Vale to allow refinancing then sale of the IP in Narrabeen. But for 6 months its tent life for me. Think Porta loo at the top of the block and bush shower in a little upright tent thingy. Think no washing machine and every Sunday night at the Laundramat. Think no kitchen, just a BBQ with a single gas hob burner on the side for pots. No study, no phone, no carpet, no computer, no internet, no bath, no laundry, no space, no lots of things. Three people in a tent or two... And me a senior exec on a strong six figure income and my wife a lawyer on another excellent income.

This year I have bought 3 sites making the total to 4, finishing 1, mid through another and got all 4 approved. I had settlements totalling 4m+ financed by a major who has been with me from day one.

Stress levels have been high, I dont show it but my body feels like its shredding - for anyone who has a controlled stress they may know what this feels like.

I can certainly sympathise with your level of stress. I have been suffering physically this year from everything I have undertaken. I have had a terrible case of hives for the last 3 months and have been suffering borderline depression. I work in the Steel industry and my company OneSteel just announced another 400 redundancies to come last week on the day I sign my loan documents for another $300K with WBC on top of my existing $1.1M construction loan, $600K site mortgage and former PPOR loans of another $700K odd. And only one rental income in all that loan exposure, the rest being serviced out of my personal income at present.

Shredded bodies, living in tents , border line depression.............. bloody hell, is it worth it ? Well is it ???? :what:

No wonder these people are stressed. That bloke may be living in his tent for longer than expected.
Wonder if they were amongst the three million who watched the block the other night ?

Good God, if they're stressed now how are they going to feel when their portfolios take a 30% bath over the next few years. Madness!

is this true? I can't believe that madness is so huge

These people are sick and they should get medical help. These are classical symptoms of impulse control disorder similar to gambling.
A psychiatrist should start posting on somersoft to help these people

Thinking of an Australian property speculator (PI):
Inaction = missing opportunities.
Missing opportunities = losing.
Too much thinking = inaction.
Thinking = missing opportunities.
Therefore thinking = losing.

The other day Lee Shau Kee was on TV saying he only buys properties when they fall. That's how he made his first fortune, then his second, then his third.

Who's Lee? Oh just someone around 5x richer than Packer.

Promised to give citizens $1bn if the index hits 40000 points before he dies.

But hey, you muppets can take zero risk (and zero reward) keep slaving away at your desks for the man until your 67
Who knows, retirement age might be pushed out to 70 or even 75 by the time you get there.
Have fun :bye:

Ah well, life wasn't meant to be easy. And obstacles exist to test just how much we really want something. The "can do" amongst us "do" while the others explain why it can't be done.

Sounds like the sense of entitlement whiners here

Australian Property Forum is an economics and finance forum dedicated to discussion of Australian and global real estate markets and macroeconomics, including house prices, housing affordability, and the likelihood of a property crash. Is there an Australian housing bubble? Will house prices crash, boom or stagnate? Is the Australian property market a pyramid scheme or Ponzi scheme? Can house prices really rise forever? These are the questions we address on Australian Property Forum, the premier real estate site for property bears, bulls, investors, and speculators. Members may also discuss matters related to finance, modern monetary theory (MMT), debt deflation, cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin Ethereum and Ripple, property investing, landlords, tenants, debt consolidation, reverse home equity loans, the housing shortage, negative gearing, capital gains tax, land tax and macro prudential regulation.

Forum Rules: The main forum may be used to discuss property, politics, economics and finance, precious metals, crypto currency, debt management, generational divides, climate change, sustainability, alternative energy, environmental topics, human rights or social justice issues, and other topics on a case by case basis.
