Sends prices "to the moon"?
It's not in Harry's interest to talk down the market - not sure how predicting doom will send prices to the moon.

There you go Harry, fixed it for you.

What? You mean the concept of equity born from highly speculative exponential asset price growth is fiction?

Damn, how else do people get wealthy?

Should ask Harry.
The same Harry that is wanting the government to "help" unit sales :D :D :D

He loves the drama and the attention. So whatever story will get him a headline is the one his PR team suggest to him at the monthly consultation. Then they hand him all the press clippings they could find in the media on him and report to him what list of charity events and galas are coming up next month that he might want to consider attending.

Harry and his ilk use the media like a vanity mirror. Where are the numbers in the story? Oh, we're all just supposed to take a story at the knee of Uncle Harry as gospel? Who says he's even interested in discussing the truth. Look at the photo. Lit three ways with flash umbrellas. Natty suit. Posture suggests photo was probably one selected from 50-100 taken. I worked in the world's largest PR organisation in Tokyo gor NIKE, GM, Kodak Mitsubishi, etc. Believe me. the "story" is an afterthought to all the various motivations that sired that posting.

I would change that quote to "You are at your most vulnerable when you don't know..."

Harry has a business model that is very different to other developers.
Take risks - if you win you will become wealthy, if you lose you will become wise

'N I's sure he coulda grown up ta be such a nice young Soviet boy if only his cowardly Jew parents hadn't bolted ta China (then other places?) when confronted wif tha prospect of Marxist Leninism:

"Triguboff was born in Dalian (Darien at the time), Liaoning, Republic of China on 3 March 1933, the son of Russian Jews who fled to northeastern China after the rise of Lenin."

He grew up tough. When someone like that lands here and makes a fortune, no one can take a dollar off him unless he wants to lose that dollar as an act of charity.

Gets some Sydvegas/Melvegas (and Perth for some reason?) tenants pretty cranked up too I've observed ... :)

Anyway, even as a busted arsed SEQ homeowner and property investor, I'm still glad I've got mine. (Oh, plus some cash in bank - 'Just in case').

Australian Property Forum is an economics and finance forum dedicated to discussion of Australian and global real estate markets and macroeconomics, including house prices, housing affordability, and the likelihood of a property crash. Is there an Australian housing bubble? Will house prices crash, boom or stagnate? Is the Australian property market a pyramid scheme or Ponzi scheme? Can house prices really rise forever? These are the questions we address on Australian Property Forum, the premier real estate site for property bears, bulls, investors, and speculators. Members may also discuss matters related to finance, modern monetary theory (MMT), debt deflation, cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin Ethereum and Ripple, property investing, landlords, tenants, debt consolidation, reverse home equity loans, the housing shortage, negative gearing, capital gains tax, land tax and macro prudential regulation.

Forum Rules: The main forum may be used to discuss property, politics, economics and finance, precious metals, crypto currency, debt management, generational divides, climate change, sustainability, alternative energy, environmental topics, human rights or social justice issues, and other topics on a case by case basis. Topics unsuitable for the main forum may be discussed in the lounge.
