That's the problem when dullards like you are allowed to take on debt, and are encouraged to live on hoc.

Prices skyrocket to silly levels, and even when the CEO of a major food retailer complains, you can't imagine freedom from the chains that bind you.

I was buying incredible strawberries and blueberries in the UK for AUD $7/kilo when here inedible tasteless Shiite goes for $35/kg

your reply does not reply to my post at all mate

it just serves as a means to put me down and call me a dullard.

35 bucks a kilo for strawberries? where are you buying them, fkn Harrods?

come back to me when you can address my points.

Cheers

Will property bulls attack Coles boss for raising the issue of Australian consumers being unmercifully ripped off like they did with me when I raised it previously?

"...Several weeks after Durkan launched a spirited attack on Coca-Cola for forcing Australians to pay more for the soft drink than anywhere else in the world, he has now turned his attention to Heinz for the price of its baked beans and Mars Inc for its M&Ms.

Durkan also had a go at unnamed global suppliers of coffee, razor blades and chocolate bars. He says these companies "seem happy to charge Australians more for their products than is the case in overseas grocery markets".

"This is frustrating to me because often the price differences relate to the same product made and sourced from the same place," he says.

"There are instances where the cost price we pay many of these suppliers is higher than retail prices we see in other countries."

Just shop at Aldi...

Admit your failure. Strawberries are not $35kg in oz. $8kg cheap and maybe $20 expensive.

Back to Marcks and Sparks with you Golly.

Has golly ever admitted he was wrong? He certainly hasn't always been right, so that just leaves one conclusion.

OOPS, I've given you a reason to ignore the findings of a CEO of one of our largest grocers.

Silly me.... you can now safely get back to burying your heads in the sand.

Strawberries do taste crap in Oz though. Big and tasteless.

But then why eat strawberries when you can eat passion fruit?

That's why foreign companies call Australia "Treasure Island". A Spanish co-worker told me how his wife bought a dress from a run-out sale in the UK before emigrating here. A year later she's in the shops and sees.. exactly the same dress touted at the latest fashion arrival. Higher price of course. Or how about game software you buy online? 30% more if you buy it through the web portal because your address is "Oz". Scam.

Australian Property Forum is an economics and finance forum dedicated to discussion of Australian and global real estate markets and macroeconomics, including house prices, housing affordability, and the likelihood of a property crash. Is there an Australian housing bubble? Will house prices crash, boom or stagnate? Is the Australian property market a pyramid scheme or Ponzi scheme? Can house prices really rise forever? These are the questions we address on Australian Property Forum, the premier real estate site for property bears, bulls, investors, and speculators. Members may also discuss matters related to finance, modern monetary theory (MMT), debt deflation, cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin Ethereum and Ripple, property investing, landlords, tenants, debt consolidation, reverse home equity loans, the housing shortage, negative gearing, capital gains tax, land tax and macro prudential regulation.

Forum Rules: The main forum may be used to discuss property, politics, economics and finance, precious metals, crypto currency, debt management, generational divides, climate change, sustainability, alternative energy, environmental topics, human rights or social justice issues, and other topics on a case by case basis.
