This guy is spot on. The technology will exceed everything we could ever imagine and then they will merge our conscious into the machine and know everything we think, feel, dream etc etc. Not only will they know what we think and feel but they will actually be the ones placing the thoughts and feelings in us. There will be a server where everyone's conscious will be placed. They are creating a new GOD. All seeing and all knowing. It could be a case of history repeating itself just like in the Matrix.

What im still trying to get my head around is this cryptocurrency. How does it work, how will affect us in future and will it become the normal currency.

It's all about "dudes cutting off their dicks" and the fear computers will be smarter then he is.

That dude is so completely emasculated he's not even allowed to do his rants to camera at home or in the office.

It doesn't matter who is doing the ranting, it's an inescapable truth that humanity will be very different 10 or 20 years from now.

You could argue that humankind is vastly more intelligent today than it was only 10 years ago. Our standalone brains haven't grown, but combined with our devices, we can instantly answer a myriad of questions, solve problems on the spot.

Create a direct interface between man and machine by bolting chips to our brains and we could all be superhuman within a decade or two.

We are heading towards singularity at breakneck speed when you consider that only 120 years ago we relied on the horse and cart just as we had done 1000 years before that.

Man has only been able to fly for 114 years. Most of us didn't have a computer in the house until 20 years ago and now most of us carry one 100 times more powerful in our pocket.
Matthew, 30 Jan 2016, 09:21 AM Your simplistic view is so flawed it is not worth debating. The current oversupply will be swallowed in 12 months. By the time dumb shits like you realise this prices will already be :?: rising.

the matrix comes to mind. Humans all connected to the motherboard ( god) and being fed experiences straight to the brain via connections or chips. We wont even need a body, just a brain. Actually why do we even need humans and especially 8 billion of them..?

You can't blame inanimate objects for your predicament BP. As a property investor, you've done this to yourself.

We are our consciousness first and foremost with our physical being simply a vessel for that consciousness.

But we are very restricted by our physical form. We live on a rock in a bubble of perfect mix gasses, on parts of that rock which are not too hot or cold. We are vulnerable to disease, war famine, natural disaster.

If we could upload our consciousness into a device with a game scenario running to replicate life on our home planet, we could then launch that device into a benign area of space and live as a species forever. We would be completely unaware of our virtual existence and live exactly as we do now.

Maybe we have already done that? Who knows? Can anyone prove otherwise?

there would have to be a good reason to keep us alive even as consciousness in a device. I dont see any reason why those in power would want to keep us alive unless they have something to gain from it. Also how we would reproduce?

But yeah maybe its all ready happening. Maybe we are all in a virtual simulation.

Australian Property Forum is an economics and finance forum dedicated to discussion of Australian and global real estate markets and macroeconomics, including house prices, housing affordability, and the likelihood of a property crash. Is there an Australian housing bubble? Will house prices crash, boom or stagnate? Is the Australian property market a pyramid scheme or Ponzi scheme? Can house prices really rise forever? These are the questions we address on Australian Property Forum, the premier real estate site for property bears, bulls, investors, and speculators. Members may also discuss matters related to finance, modern monetary theory (MMT), debt deflation, cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin Ethereum and Ripple, property investing, landlords, tenants, debt consolidation, reverse home equity loans, the housing shortage, negative gearing, capital gains tax, land tax and macro prudential regulation.

Forum Rules: The main forum may be used to discuss property, politics, economics and finance, precious metals, crypto currency, debt management, generational divides, climate change, sustainability, alternative energy, environmental topics, human rights or social justice issues, and other topics on a case by case basis. Topics unsuitable for the main forum may be discussed in the lounge. You agree you won't use this forum to post material that is illegal, private, defamatory, pornographic, excessively abusive or profane, threatening, or invasive of another forum member's privacy. Accusations, attacks, abuse or threats, litigious or otherwise, directed against the forum or forum administrators aren't tolerated and will result in immediate suspension of your account for a number of days depending on the severity of the attack. No spamming or advertising in the main forum. Spamming includes repeating the same message over and over again within a short period of time. Don't post ALL CAPS thread titles. The Advertising and Promotion Subforum may be used to promote your Australian property related business or service. Active members of the forum who contribute regularly to main forum discussions may also include a link to their product or service in their signature block. Members are limited to one actively posting account each. A secondary account may be used solely for the purpose of maintaining a blog as long as that account no longer posts in threads.
