It will be awesome to watch companies drive down house prices so they can acquire cheap stock, write down some losses on their earlier acquisitions, added increase customers baby bankrupting little investors.

Transmutation in action.

No. This is how it will work.

1. Banks set up companies to buy any surplus stock on market, offering said companies sweet heart finance.
2. Banks set up companies to build rental stock as surplus stock is reduced, offering said companies sweet heart finance.
3. Banks make loans harder to get for owner occupiers there by increasing demand for rentals.
4. Bleating Bears now unable to buy as market has transmuted.
5. Black Panther hailed the most forward thinker on said topic.

Business are in the business of driving down costs.

Houses are their biggest cost.

Driving down costs ruin a bunch of dead shits who think they control the property market.

Dead shits transmute into renters.

Wolly, banks are in the business of protecting the value of their mortgage loans portfolio while it is so large, so they will ensure the value of houses dont crash.

Are you so instinctively stupid ?

Well, I'd personally prefer ta think ya just might be wrong about ya 'transmutation' down in Sydvegas/Melvegas BP; But must also personally admit that I can't see too many ways ya gunna be wrong.

Hmmm - Recalls bein' of tha persuasion quite some yrs back that when tha youngs in a joint couldn't afford ta buy there then prices just pretty much had ta fall (wif that bein' a Neil Jenman line) - But didn't that turn out ta be load of shit.

It's interesting isn't it.

When presented with the same information, investors see that they will get rich, and bears see it as banks preparing themselves for the onslaught of a flood of cheap houses when all the 'investors' go broke.

I wonder how many investors will have to enter the sex trade to earn a crust so they can pay their rent to the banks?

... Actually tax is our biggest cost ...
Asked a property lawyer once "How does people wif really large portfolios avoid land tax?"

Ta which he replied "By 'n large they don't; 'N just pays it."

Which then led ta a conversation on a bloke wif a bloody big property portfolio tha legal eagle knew wot woz avoidin' land tax ('n tha basics of tha dodgy he woz usin' ta do it) - Wif me 'n tha property lawyer both agreein' that if/when he got caught his 'arse woz grass' ... :)

Tax won't be a problem when they drive down the price of a house little troll.

And they'll just pass on the poetics to ask the failed investor cum renters.

Australian Property Forum is an economics and finance forum dedicated to discussion of Australian and global real estate markets and macroeconomics, including house prices, housing affordability, and the likelihood of a property crash. Is there an Australian housing bubble? Will house prices crash, boom or stagnate? Is the Australian property market a pyramid scheme or Ponzi scheme? Can house prices really rise forever? These are the questions we address on Australian Property Forum, the premier real estate site for property bears, bulls, investors, and speculators. Members may also discuss matters related to finance, modern monetary theory (MMT), debt deflation, cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin Ethereum and Ripple, property investing, landlords, tenants, debt consolidation, reverse home equity loans, the housing shortage, negative gearing, capital gains tax, land tax and macro prudential regulation.
