Chris likes to make stuff up while accusing others of lying.
Consumer protection laws extended to small businesses. Banks not permitted to repossess due to non-monetary defaults (for example, a fall in the property value).

Chris doesn't excel at gettin' stuff right.

His OP on this thread said:

Just as predicted boomers cash out, lock FHB out of their last bastion and the best part is the government will hand them another tax funded subsidy so they can throw up $300k into super.

They will go down in history as the most despicable generation ever"

But tha facts of tha matter seem ta be a bit more like those presented here:

https://www.superguide.com.au/smsfs/treasurer-morrisons-retirementgate?utm_source=SuperGuide+Newsletter&utm_campaign=798cd62e29-Newsletter_2017_06_26&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_a8149882f5-798cd62e29-390927553

Where it says (amongst other things) that "The practical effect of the 2017 Age Pension changes is that you receive more total retirement income (including Age Pension) with $400,000 in super, than you do with $800,000 in super, or even $1 million in super. Under the new rules, the most desirable savings targets are $400,000 or $1,050,000"

So yep, tha bait ta chuck another $300K at super by downsizin' is just a trap for most boomers I'd say - Given tha other changes ta tha pension regs.

You seem to have gone off on a tangent. I was referring to your claim that Shadow, Khaderbhai or myself agreed with you. Post the link to this alleged 'agreement'.
You can't even manage to agree with himself.

He starts whole threads ranting and raving about how everyone is wrong and house prices going up in value doesn't make anyone richer, all the while moaning that the PPOR should be means tested and how it's terrible down sizers are selling their PPOR's and outbidding younger couples.

It appears I got a little arse about on years and IR's, it happens
Yes - you f&ck-up your facts and figures royally all the time Chris - so it certainly does "happen".....a lot.... :re:

The worse part though is that a) you base / justify all your incorrect and stupid beliefs about the housing market, boomers etc on all your wrong and mis-understood figures and "facts".... and b) call those of us that point out your BS habitual liars! Yet never an apology or a retraction of those accusations to be seen, when proven beyond a doubt - often using your own links / evidence, that you were competently wrong, about everything!

You must have no shame.

Australian Property Forum is an economics and finance forum dedicated to discussion of Australian and global real estate markets and macroeconomics, including house prices, housing affordability, and the likelihood of a property crash. Is there an Australian housing bubble? Will house prices crash, boom or stagnate? Is the Australian property market a pyramid scheme or Ponzi scheme? Can house prices really rise forever? These are the questions we address on Australian Property Forum, the premier real estate site for property bears, bulls, investors, and speculators. Members may also discuss matters related to finance, modern monetary theory (MMT), debt deflation, cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin Ethereum and Ripple, property investing, landlords, tenants, debt consolidation, reverse home equity loans, the housing shortage, negative gearing, capital gains tax, land tax and macro prudential regulation.

Forum Rules: The main forum may be used to discuss property, politics, economics and finance, precious metals, crypto currency, debt management, generational divides, climate change, sustainability, alternative energy, environmental topics, human rights or social justice issues, and other topics on a case by case basis.
