When I have the money to invest
There fixed it for you......

When will you have the Money?

Still making those sacrifices to pay off that PPOR......

Don't worry in 10-20 years you may have some funds to invest.....

Imagine that you might actually have some money to back up all that talk finally.

So you don't have any money to back up your talk? Is that why it's 10 years later and you still can't purchase?

Just following your own line of reasoning here timo.

Ideally, the suburbanites would have buying regular purchases of FMG in a cost averaging approach. Some of them would have done this indirectly through their superannuation obligations. Very few, if any, of them would have been doing it by themselves. That is likely to include the creator of this particular construct.

Roddy believes very few people buy shares. But then he'll believe anything if it's fed to him by his idols.

So you didn't buy because you had no money? Or won't they loan to mummy's boys who still live at home?

You must be talking from experience.......

Is that why you couldn't afford to purchase more in the last 10 years?

Wrong Roddy. The suburbanites buy plenty of shares. They're obliged to by law. In 2014, 36% of Australians owned shares, either directly or indirectly. 26% owned shares directly. 71% are not very knowledgeable or have no knowledge at all, which is why your puppeteer probably doesn't understand why FMG has fallen 8% over P3D.

The average value of portfolios for representative traders is over $100,000. One segment (the 'confidents') have an average portfolio of approx $170k.

Nonsense Roddy. Link to the legislation that says suburbanites must buy plenty of shares.
Banks can't repossess your home simply because the market value falls. Australia's Consumer Credit Code says consumers aren't liable for things ordinarily outside their control and can't be held to obligations that could only be met by selling their home. Click for details.

Australian Property Forum is an economics and finance forum dedicated to discussion of Australian and global real estate markets and macroeconomics, including house prices, housing affordability, and the likelihood of a property crash. Is there an Australian housing bubble? Will house prices crash, boom or stagnate? Is the Australian property market a pyramid scheme or Ponzi scheme? Can house prices really rise forever? These are the questions we address on Australian Property Forum, the premier real estate site for property bears, bulls, investors, and speculators. Members may also discuss matters related to finance, modern monetary theory (MMT), debt deflation, cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin Ethereum and Ripple, property investing, landlords, tenants, debt consolidation, reverse home equity loans, the housing shortage, negative gearing, capital gains tax, land tax and macro prudential regulation.

Forum Rules: The main forum may be used to discuss property, politics, economics and finance, precious metals, crypto currency, debt management, generational divides, climate change, sustainability, alternative energy, environmental topics, human rights or social justice issues, and other topics on a case by case basis.
