I understand, you've had the shit kicked out of you all day, you need to get a pointless fact free jibe in.
Well done.
Well I don't think you'd even want to be a researcher for Gallup or any organization for that matter. I cannot prove that you were never in research, but your comment about polling confirms that is highly likely.
No one has ever laughed in my face but who knows what they do in private. Most, if not all are honest and tell me they wouldn't be able to afford the same home, same deposit, better wage 3-5 yrs into it based on current and ascending income.
They are all quite acknowledging of the predicament Australia's citizens now find themselves in at the mercy of the banks.
All of them struggle to see how they will ever own their own property within the next 2 decades let alone another one (investment/upgrade)

Your posts are bizzare.
All of your friends who purchased a property 3-5 years ago could not afford to do so now? All of them strggle to see how they will ever own the property they purchased?

Yes, when proposed to them as a hypothetical situation in which they didn't buy their current home and were to attempt to buy it after 5 yrs price escalation. They all seemed to understand the question and its context and give a sufficient response, your the only one that appears to have the cognitive retardation stopping you from comprehending the hypothetical question.
5yrs of house price growth has far outstripped their wages and if they statrted 5yrs later just because of, I don't know, being born 5 yrs later, with the same deposit they could not afford to buy what they have now.
5yrs of house price growth has far outstripped their wages
But over the previous decade, wages far outstripped house prices. So in some ways this is just catch-up for a decade of under-performance.
Anyone who follows the housing market closely would have realised in 2011 that the Sydney market was due for a major leg up, after the prior decade in which house prices fell against incomes.
Similarly Perth in 2017 is due for a major leg up, after Perth house prices have been falling in real terms for the past decade.
