Many people lie about their real situation and financial worth on social media, whether you're a suburbanite or celebrity. The fact that they even talk about it is usually a telltale sign.

I also hear that most men will exaggerate when discussing their dick size as well...... :re: But some of us don't need to! :lol :lol

For Aussie property bears, "denial", is not just a long river in North Africa.....

Now this is seriously where the bear do not understand property or even basic maths. The 70% of us who are paying down mortgages on property are now one year closer to outright ownership.
And another year closer to the Financial Armageddon of The current Economic System.

Record levels of Debt coupled with record Asset values at a time when Interest rates are rising off their lowest levels in History needing to be there to stave of a Depression.

What is there to Understand again?

Sure. Slightly different, but similar to the guy on the GC accused of throwing the girl off his balcony. However, this is more related to psychological condition of narcissism. In matters of financial wealth, most suburbanites are not narcissists because of financial security. It might be something they aspire to.

I'm up over 20% this year, but I don't own property only Australian shares. I picked up RIO, BHP and S32 near bottoms.

I think they will all be volatile for a bit, but I buy long term.

My portfolio is down about 20% 2 of my stocks have taken big hits dragging me backwards. Not going to sell, regret not selling one back when I thought it had probably reached fair value but feel it will recover. Fundamentals of the company are still good. Just opportunity cost. Still above purchase price, just forgone a big chunk of profit for the moment.
There are some people who seem angry and continuously look for conflict.
Walk away, the battle they are fighting isn't with you, it's with themselves.

I took a bad hit with CCV but thankfully didn't have too much in it....

I should have sold but didn't .. I am going to see if their reforms come good before cutting my losses.

Australian Property Forum is an economics and finance forum dedicated to discussion of Australian and global real estate markets and macroeconomics, including house prices, housing affordability, and the likelihood of a property crash. Is there an Australian housing bubble? Will house prices crash, boom or stagnate? Is the Australian property market a pyramid scheme or Ponzi scheme? Can house prices really rise forever? These are the questions we address on Australian Property Forum, the premier real estate site for property bears, bulls, investors, and speculators. Members may also discuss matters related to finance, modern monetary theory (MMT), debt deflation, cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin Ethereum and Ripple, property investing, landlords, tenants, debt consolidation, reverse home equity loans, the housing shortage, negative gearing, capital gains tax, land tax and macro prudential regulation.

Forum Rules: The main forum may be used to discuss property, politics, economics and finance, precious metals, crypto currency, debt management, generational divides, climate change, sustainability, alternative energy, environmental topics, human rights or social justice issues, and other topics on a case by case basis. Topics unsuitable for the main forum may be discussed in the lounge.
