He who does nothing goes nowhere.
Should be the catchphrase of your generation.
Speak when you are angry and you will make the best speech you will ever regret.

LOL.......I love a crisis in markets as that's when they run hardest. Just not in the direction you would like.........

But you would need to understand how to short sell to understand that point.
in your dreams Simon.

No, it should have been the catchphrase for your generation, instead it was "mummy will help me"

Rightly or wrongly, I sort of think of tha Gen X catchphrase bein' "I work ta live; Not live ta work".

You must be joking. No wait, I forget your generation is completely unaware of how they have been coddled and carried like children, and whenever the threat of the nanny being taken away it was out onto the streets.

"What do we want? Everything! When do we want it? Now! Who's going to pay for it? Someone else!"

Still, compared to your useless "participation award" children, your generation was positively gung-ho.

No need, I do actual work which gets me to sleep just fine.

I imagine your nightly ritual involves a lot of prayer though. Just remember to give thanks to the generation above and below you, pulling you up and carrying your weight.

I think she's a cusper between X and Y. She's had a bit of a think about it (GenX trait), but tends to go on a bit of a rambling whinge (GenY). GenX journos tend to be fairly invisible as GenX doesn't rate a mention in the press. Only self-congratulating boomers and precious princess GenYs grace the pages.

John hasn't even seen a recession, he's that wet behind the ears, yet wants to lecture everyone else about economic realities.

Ah, an amateur comedian. I understand.
I'd suggest Jon's probably gotta try ta get a bit of perspective on it all maybe? - As in providin' one ain't a Gen X Melbournian or Sydneyite wot f***ed up 'n didn't buy a home sometime in their late twenties ta early thirties, then life's probably gotta be just about as peaches 'n cream for 'em as for any other generation I know of in tha history of this country?

Can be a tough gig if ya an immigrant I guess? But lotsa them seems ta have 'alternative' strategies for copin' anyways maybe - Just dependin' where they come from.

Australian Property Forum is an economics and finance forum dedicated to discussion of Australian and global real estate markets and macroeconomics, including house prices, housing affordability, and the likelihood of a property crash. Is there an Australian housing bubble? Will house prices crash, boom or stagnate? Is the Australian property market a pyramid scheme or Ponzi scheme? Can house prices really rise forever? These are the questions we address on Australian Property Forum, the premier real estate site for property bears, bulls, investors, and speculators. Members may also discuss matters related to finance, modern monetary theory (MMT), debt deflation, cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin Ethereum and Ripple, property investing, landlords, tenants, debt consolidation, reverse home equity loans, the housing shortage, negative gearing, capital gains tax, land tax and macro prudential regulation.

Forum Rules: The main forum may be used to discuss property, politics, economics and finance, precious metals, crypto currency, debt management, generational divides, climate change, sustainability, alternative energy, environmental topics, human rights or social justice issues, and other topics on a case by case basis.
