Merry Christmas; And A Happy New Year

So 2016 is a cooked chook, no recession, depression nor banking collapse. No massive booms and no major bust.

Some people made good calls, others did not.

Personally for me the year had the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. Milestones were witnessed and achieved and tragedies suffered. I will be happy to see the back of 2016 for many reasons, and sad for others.

I would like to wish everyone here a Merry Christmas, and the happiest of New Years. May you all enjoy the time with your families over the festive season and may your families enjoy their time with you.

May 2017 bring us all better tidings than 2016. Perhaps we can all wish each other prosperity and happiness instead of hoping for misery and failure.

See you next year.

My only hope for my three boys is that they turn out nothing at all like Chris.

Yeah
Seasons Greetings & all that

I'm going to be looking forward to the Quiksilver/Roxy Pro, its next yr at Snapper Rocks (Gold Coast) 14th-25th March, have always enjoyed the awesome pro dominating the giant waves & doing flawless right-hand barrels.
Its all subject to how my parents are as they have had some challenging health issues lately....

On a good note I got a near new car (like for like) as my car got too damaged when my Hubs got in a bingle, (got rear ended and then its impact went into the vehicle in front). Fortunately L is ok can replace a car but not a person...

For some Perth is supposed the end, but for some life does go on and the rent still comes in.
Cheers.
Newjerk? can you try harder than dig up another person's blog. My first promo was with Billabong and my name in English is modified with a T, am Perth born but also lived in Sydney to make my $$
It's Absolutely Fabulous if it includes brilliant locations, & high calibre tenants..what more does one want? Understand the power of the two "P"" or be financially challenged
Even better when there is family who are property mad and one is born in some entitlements.....Understand that beautiful women are the exhibitionists we crave attention, whilst hot blooded men are the voyeurs ... A stunning woman can command and takes pleasure in being noticed. Seems not too many understand what it means to hold and own props and get threatened by those who do.
Banks are considered to be law abiding and & rather boring places yeah not true . A bank balance sheet will show capital is dwarfed by their liabilities this means when a portions of loans is falling its problems for the bank.

A good year for me professionally and now chilling out and enjoying a driving holiday (with a twist) around the NZ South Island.

Happy Christmas from Queenstown to both bulls and bears.

Merry Christmas to all... B and B alike.

Shadow - Defrauded his Bank ? 2015 I have 9 different loans and my bank had no idea which ones were personal and which were investment. They had half of them classed incorrectly. When this change came in they asked me to tell them if any personal loans were incorrectly classed as investment, which I did, and they switched them to personal for the lower rate. They also had a couple of investment loans incorrectly classed as personal. They didn't ask me about those. So they stay on the lower rate too. Worked out pretty well. :)
Shadow - 2008 Sydney Median House Price 1.25M by 2014-2015

Shadow : I think this boom has already begun in several cities. My prediction :
Peak of boom: 2014-2015. Sydney Median Price: $1,250,000 Bottom of bust: 2017-2018. Sydney Median Price: $1,100,000

2016 has been a fantastic year financially, less so on a personal level as my wife was very unwell for much of it. But thanks to a very good Polish surgeon and excellent care at the royal Marsden hospital she has fully recovered, and we can put shitty 2016 behind us and look forward to 2017. I wouldn't wish cancer on anybody.

Wishing you all a healthy and prosperous 2017.

Merry Xmas Matthew, I hope you and your family have a wonderful and safe Xmas, and a prosperous new year.
Cheers Peter.

Same to you and yours.

I head home tomorrow, this year was 229 days away from home, a new record I am not particularly proud of. I am looking forward to a few weeks with the family before getting back on the hamster wheel. I miss my wife and sons, travelling is the shit way to earn a good wage.

I hope 2017 delivers everything you want, and a little extra. Your comments are one of the few reasons I keep coming here - you can always learn from others smarter than you if you are willing to listen.

Funny thing is for all the insults I cop I actually don't care that much about wealth. I want it, but I want it mainly for my wife and boys security, not for me personally. I know wealth is a unit of measure, but it comes with an enormous cost and for me (and others) that cost is time away from the family unit, either long hours at home in the office leaving before they wake and arriving when they sleep or extended periods away.

The big difference is I don't want to grow my own wealth at the direct expense of the masses.

I hope your wife is able to overcome the challenge and you guys enjoy a long and happy future together. It is all any of us aspire to.

Cancer is shit. Wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.

All the best for 2017 newjez, I hope it provides you the comfort you seek.

Australian Property Forum is an economics and finance forum dedicated to discussion of Australian and global real estate markets and macroeconomics, including house prices, housing affordability, and the likelihood of a property crash. Is there an Australian housing bubble? Will house prices crash, boom or stagnate? Is the Australian property market a pyramid scheme or Ponzi scheme? Can house prices really rise forever? These are the questions we address on Australian Property Forum, the premier real estate site for property bears, bulls, investors, and speculators. Members may also discuss matters related to finance, modern monetary theory (MMT), debt deflation, cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin Ethereum and Ripple, property investing, landlords, tenants, debt consolidation, reverse home equity loans, the housing shortage, negative gearing, capital gains tax, land tax and macro prudential regulation.

Forum Rules: The main forum may be used to discuss property, politics, economics and finance, precious metals, crypto currency, debt management, generational divides, climate change, sustainability, alternative energy, environmental topics, human rights or social justice issues, and other topics on a case by case basis.
