I've started shopping at Aldi because of a few specific products they carry that seem much better quality and yet cheaper than other supermarkets. In particular one Italian cheese I like to cook with, a brand of fortified wine which is amazing and some soft drinks they sell.
Aldi is located strategically in low areas and its not worth a look for me... once was enough.
Generic = compromise and Coles & Woolies have been dropping prices & depending on the products some of their generics surpasses Aldi crap.
eg my kids love the Coles choc chip cookies try to get it from Aldi its not an equal its a powdery mess.

Don't need to show you anything that I haven't claimed.
The data tells us that the suburbanites are spending more on credit and debit cards. Nothing more, nothing less.
As clearly indicated by the CBA report. However, what we do know is that most suburbanites barely have two sticks to rub together, therefore it's important to acknowledge that there is every opportunity that they're simply adding to their own debt levels.
When 56% of h'holds have less than $10,000 in cash savings, that has an impact on what and how consumers can spend without going into debt. Good question. Investment perhaps based on bad business cases. Who knows? Do you think it is clever to be investing in shopping malls?
There is only going to be certain stuff that can be conveniently done online.
eg jewellery one needs to see it wear it, feel it.
Stop wasting space aim for multi storey parking.
The problem with credit cards is when one pays up regularly and is a good girl or boy they get tempting notifications in increase their credit limits all part of bizness no one else to blame but themselves if they maxxed out.
Car park Xmas rage does not, double parking, being stalked to the car....... people in a hurry does not.
Occasional misuse of ACROD parking by relatives of elderly with mobility issues *only done this twice the permit I forgot to give back to parents(its gets shared with siblings to help mum& dad) and I'm sure I'm not the only one.. wouldn't do it if the car park is packed out

No that's what you assume, you have no data.
Take risks - if you win you will become wealthy, if you lose you will become wise
Really? Based on travels overseas to the US and Europe I'd say we're doing quite well, compared to those places anyway.
So, like if one has an account with an attached credit card, its account has 3 currencies like EUR, GDP and USD, can transfer to any 3 currencies ? or whatever bunch of currencies? Debit card stuff can manage to top up account via another credit card.

Because the consumer goods business models of Europe, the U.S., and Japan are light years ahead of Australia. They've made the transition out of necessity.
eg Zurich airport they have a Travelex ATM capable if dispensing EUR, GBP, CHF and USD. The ATM gives the option to do a withdrawal with or without conversion.

??
I just carry some local currency, and use my credit card where I can, as foreign transaction attract 3 FF points for every AUD spent, and the txn fees seem quite reasonable. I don't bother with travel cards or any of that crap.

There's cards out there with zero foreign currency fees. Depending on the destination, you wouldn't carry more than $100 aud on you.
A bit premature without hard data for the Xmas season, but the predictions are it will be a bumper year with $48.1B spent up a massive 4% over last year.

'Tis the season to be spending. Local retailers look to be experiencing a bigger Christmas shopping season with sales figures up almost 4% on last year. Russell Zimmerman is the Executive Director of the Australian Retail Association. He says Australians could spend as much as $47 billion over the six week holiday period.
