You must be a paid schill trying to keep the sheeple calm about the 1.6million certificates the banks have destroyed to date, without consent or knowledge of the "owners".
BTW- I'll agree with the Law Council of Australia every day if the option is a dumb phuk like you.
LOL, so you hate bankers but you think lawyers are good guys? They just fear someone elbowing in on their conveyancing racket.
They haven't done a great job to date protecting knobs like you from property fraud!
Have you checked out the procedure with numerous checks and balances, required to replace a certificate in NSW
I haven't, because I'm a very honest person and not interested in fraud.
However the fraudsters most certainly will have checked out the procedure in great detail. That's how they've been able to repeatedly sell homes without the owners consent.
According to the Law Society of NSW...
"The Fraud Squad has warned of the extraordinary and widespread increase in ‘identification fraud’, where whole, well-documented identities are acquired by fraudsters. Forged passports, drivers licences, credit cards, letterheads etc are all available to fraudsters.
It is not unusual for fraudsters to have an excellent working knowledge of conveyancing procedures, and to falsely sign documents as a solicitor, justice of the peace or otherwise. Solicitors have been induced to improperly witness documents signed by persons who were not present -‘ill at home’, ‘in hospital’, ‘overseas’, and ‘has an intense dislike of attending a lawyers’ office’ are but some explanations which may seem plausible at the time."
Get yourself a real solicitor Golly - fast. Your bargain basement lawyer has misled you quite badly. Holding a printout is no guarantee that you won't be the next victim.
"The truth is that there are no good men, or bad men. It is the deeds that have goodness or badness in them. There are good deeds, and bad deeds. Men are just men."

Get your Certificates of Title dude. They are what they are.
If the Land Titles haven't got the present edition when they lodge a property change, they are in the wrong, and you, with your title(s)intect are, as the old saying goes....."As safe as houses".
Edit: Youll find courts are sticklers for process, and if the process isn't followed, then you are in the right, and the Registrar is in the wrong.
E.g.: . "What needs to be lodged at LPI to register a Transfer? You must lodge the following documents at LPI: the completed Transfer form 01T (PDF 268 KB) marked by the Office of State Revenue, or Transfer severing Joint Tenancy form 01TJ (PDF 9 KB) and a completed Notice of Sale or Transfer of Land (NOS) form and the original Certificate of Title for the relevant property (if this has not been already produced by a mortgagee or another party) and a statutory declaration of the names and postal addresses of the other joint tenants and any mortgagees (if using a Transfer form 01T) for a severance of joint tenancy) and the current lodgment fee must be paid at lodgment " http://www.lpi.nsw.gov.au/about_lpi/land_title_questions/transferring_a_share_or_interest_in_a_torrens_title_property

None of this protected the victims of property frauds.
Australian Property Forum is an economics and finance forum dedicated to discussion of Australian and global real estate markets and macroeconomics, including house prices, housing affordability, and the likelihood of a property crash. Is there an Australian housing bubble? Will house prices crash, boom or stagnate? Is the Australian property market a pyramid scheme or Ponzi scheme? Can house prices really rise forever? These are the questions we address on Australian Property Forum, the premier real estate site for property bears, bulls, investors, and speculators. Members may also discuss matters related to finance, modern monetary theory (MMT), debt deflation, cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin Ethereum and Ripple, property investing, landlords, tenants, debt consolidation, reverse home equity loans, the housing shortage, negative gearing, capital gains tax, land tax and macro prudential regulation.
