NZ's going gangbusters. What don't we switch to a different punter like the Kiwis? Probably easier to round up if they do a runner too.

This has the potential to create some serious problems with the high rise market in Australia, given that there was already a problem with possible over supply. Be interesting to see how this pans out.
I've often thought that these high rises are the affordable housing of the future and it may occur a little earlier than I expected. Strange that the banks could be cutting their own throats here and if it starts deteriorating then the banks will tighten even further exacerbating the problem.
Can never be 'Affordable' due to high service fees.. ie buy it then rent it.

Too small a market - 25 sheep, one boy 'n two dogs.

It would be nice to know some actual concrete "numbers" in respect to this issue.

There is a lot of talking of failure to settle, but is there anything actually happening?
Let me assure you that this isn't one of those shady pyramid schemes that you've been hearing about. No sir, our model is the Trapezoid which guarantees each investor an 800% return within hours.

Media is like religion. Faith and emotion are the key drivers of what you believe or don't believe. This is a primary reason why the odds are stacked against the suburbanites. They dance to an orchestrated tune and are then peppered with dark prophecies such as this. Don't fear. There will be likely be a prophetic claim that swings the emotional balance the other way.

Like a flock of sheep, a good dog and an experienced farmer on a quad...

One word or a whistle can have them dancing...

Australian Property Forum is an economics and finance forum dedicated to discussion of Australian and global real estate markets and macroeconomics, including house prices, housing affordability, and the likelihood of a property crash. Is there an Australian housing bubble? Will house prices crash, boom or stagnate? Is the Australian property market a pyramid scheme or Ponzi scheme? Can house prices really rise forever? These are the questions we address on Australian Property Forum, the premier real estate site for property bears, bulls, investors, and speculators. Members may also discuss matters related to finance, modern monetary theory (MMT), debt deflation, cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin Ethereum and Ripple, property investing, landlords, tenants, debt consolidation, reverse home equity loans, the housing shortage, negative gearing, capital gains tax, land tax and macro prudential regulation.

Forum Rules: The main forum may be used to discuss property, politics, economics and finance, precious metals, crypto currency, debt management, generational divides, climate change, sustainability, alternative energy, environmental topics, human rights or social justice issues, and other topics on a case by case basis.
