So where will all the money come from to pay back all that they Borrow?

Government effectively spends money into existence. No need to pay it back unless the private sector wants to dissave. See more here.

What was it I said? Ok one more time because your a full functioning moron.
My comment was saying aggregate total bonds issuance does not fall (paid back) unless the private sector wants to dissave. I followed up with this.
Quote:

The government is legally required to pay interest and the Principal. But like any government spending, the process is as I outlined in my link. So long as the central bank targets an interest rate, the bonds will always be sold.

Yep I do, but you told us you short stocks.

If you are going long then you expect good times, which is counter your philosophy and it means all you have said is wrong.

Which is it, are you making an error by shorting, or have you changed sides?

He's not even a good liar.

He will now disappear from this thread like ether.
LOL........Still trying to Pretend you know what you're talking about.

Yes a government that issues its own currency, such as US and Aus, will always repay you and interest at maturity. If they don't have the tax receipts they will pay you from the proceeds of another bond issuance to someone else. And as bb says, they will always be able to issue to someone else (if you bothered to read his links).

If they don't have the tax receipts
Now that wasn't so hard was it Lurker?

Now you raise an interesting point.......Why would they not have the Tax reciepts?

Nice to see that You too also make the Assumption that issuance will always be over subscribed....They will always find the Money..........Always......

Simon they can't run out of digits created on a spreadsheet.

Governments who issue their own currency are not limited by tax receipts.
That doesn't mean they will issue money without restraint, it means they could.

Now stop being a complete dick and try to absorb some common sense for once.

Australian Property Forum is an economics and finance forum dedicated to discussion of Australian and global real estate markets and macroeconomics, including house prices, housing affordability, and the likelihood of a property crash. Is there an Australian housing bubble? Will house prices crash, boom or stagnate? Is the Australian property market a pyramid scheme or Ponzi scheme? Can house prices really rise forever? These are the questions we address on Australian Property Forum, the premier real estate site for property bears, bulls, investors, and speculators. Members may also discuss matters related to finance, modern monetary theory (MMT), debt deflation, cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin Ethereum and Ripple, property investing, landlords, tenants, debt consolidation, reverse home equity loans, the housing shortage, negative gearing, capital gains tax, land tax and macro prudential regulation.
