Err..no he didn't. The best data I've seen so far indicates that Clinton won the female vote by 54% to 42%. Where did you get your figures from? Or did you just make them up? If you can come up with a better source please let us know.

Trump didn't even win the popular vote.
Clinton won that.
Trump sort of got in by the "back door" that is the electoral college system.

In a perfect world, constituency boundaries should contain equal numbers of people and align the popular vote with the real outcome.

But that is not the whole problem with a "Westminster" style democratic election. Just like a Wimbledon final, the player winning the most points won't always get the trophy.

My theory on why Trump won? Same reason as Brexit. People are pissed off with the current system so are looking for a radical answer. Hilary was the poster child for the current system.

Trump was the radical response.

If the radical response doesn't work, vote it out in four years time.

Assuming that there is an opportunity to vote in four years time?
Matthew, 30 Jan 2016, 09:21 AM Your simplistic view is so flawed it is not worth debating. The current oversupply will be swallowed in 12 months. By the time dumb shits like you realise this prices will already be :?: rising.

SteveC,

You want to believe those numbers. They were simply derived from asking voters how they voted. Now 120million or so people voted. If you truly believe an exit-poll can gather information on those voters to the accuracy of 1% point you are wilfully ignorant. If they gave a range then they'd be more genuine. But to say 93% voted this, or 53% voted that, is only for fools to lap up. As Terry keeps trying to tell us, you have no idea about the methodology of the data, you don't know the raw figures, you don't know the error bars, etc. But when the number resonates with you, it's all you need to endorse it.

They said that the pre-polls were wrong because people were afraid to admit they would vote Trump. But when it comes to exit-polls the people weren't afraid to admit it? Please Steve. Look at how these tools are being used to trick you.

As for the electoral college... Imagine if the parasites in ACT were given more senators just because the numbers of parasites increased? Tax paying Aussies would be furious!

Democracy precedes the electoral college, so why don't you say that democracy is antiquated?

But 52% of women voted for a guy who would grab them on their pussies.....if they were good looking enough.

Question: did those voters think they were good looking enough, or that they were ugly and safe?

So we can assume that you just made it up when you said that Trump won more women's votes than Clinton did. Kind of destroys your credibility on the forum if you just make up shit doesn't it.

To answer your question "How did Trump win if Hillary got the all the votes???": he got a higher proportion of votes from men than Clinton did from women. Very simple maths really.

Stick to talking about the property market, on this and other topics you're an idiot.

No they can easily sum up all of the votes and compare the numbers for Hillary and Trump, which they have done. It's not based on an exit poll.

Hillary I believe got about 1 million more than Trump, but he won the election. That can and does happen in Australia as well on a first past the post basis. No voting system is perfect, and in any case it's often weighted to ensure that small states still get a say in how government is run.

I don't have the data, but I understand that fewer people voted for Trump than Mitt Romney, but Hillary's vote was much worse than Obama's because she just wasn't a popular candidate.

She also had a lot of fruit loop conspiracy theories against her, which are very difficult to counter.

Firstly, its the best figures (in terms of non-bias) that I've come across. And I'm not quoting it because "it resonates with me", I just go with the information available. And to describe one aspect of a constitution as antiquated does not mean that I think the concept of democracy is antiquated. It just needs reform. If you can extrapolate that from what I said then I think its you that are 'wilfully ignorant', or just a troll.

I'm just an observer on this forum for the property stuff, which i learn from. I might post occasionally on stuff that I do know about, but I can't be bothered to hang around to argue with an ignorant prick like you. So I'll leave you and Foxbat, the man with no sources who makes up shit , to slagging me off. I'm on holiday and life's too short.
