Many cultures can, and have built things that lasts... that ability is not in question.. what is in question is the fraction of products that come out of China that are great quality, and the fraction that are very low standards.
The willingness and ability to mass produce products of very low quality which are faked to appear as good quality is stunning... Buy Chinese bolts at your own risk if you need
From Bolts to Wiring, fakes that can cause death are sold in very large volumes... Their production standards will improve, as will their reliability of quality products and trustworthiness when it comes to the quality of product... it would be incorrect to assume that we are there by a long shot.
I really don't care what people buy, but long term I think the naysayers are in for a surprise.
Take risks - if you win you will become wealthy, if you lose you will become wise

You could have just called the thread "Poorly made products". But you focused on anything you think was made in China purely because it was poorly made.
You're the worst kind of bigot, because you're f***ing gutless when confronted with how wrong you are.

Thing is Dolly, China grew on the back of our demands for cheaper stuff.
We wanted the same stuff that was made here, but we wanted it for much less.
So chancers from here went over there and employed a factory in Guangdong to clone our home made stuff at a 1/4 of the price.
Nobody is saying that the Chinese can't (and do) make some really good stuff. But the reality is, that a good 80% of the stuff that comes out of China is cheap and nasty tack.
Because that is what we asked them to make.
We wanted cheaper phone bills and we didn't want to pay bank charges. So we got Indian people answering our customer service calls.
We wanted cheaper cars so we bought Japanese and Korean rather than AUS,US.UK or Euro made.
We asked for it and we are getting it.
Matthew, 30 Jan 2016, 09:21 AM Your simplistic view is so flawed it is not worth debating. The current oversupply will be swallowed in 12 months. By the time dumb shits like you realise this prices will already be rising.
1/3 of cigarettes in the U.K. are fake, the vast majority from China.
If they contain tobacco they are toxic, and if they don't contain tobacco they contain asbestos, dead flies- all sorts of weird shit.
How much plain package tobacco sold in Australia is ripoff Chinese shit killing people quicker than normal tobacco under the guise of a health campaign?
