The probability of being attacked by a creepy clown is low in my opinion.
Do please keep up tha good work re ya risk analyses about them creepy clown attacks on us suburbanites by all means as always Tezza - Ya relentless research inta such stuff 'n robust mathemodicalling of same continues ta be held by in tha most highest of regard by all us suburbanites wif us just bein' unendingly beholdin' ta ya for it obviously - So's I can only says Ta yet one more time ta ya agin for it Tezza ... Hey Tezza, if ya got a REALLY ugly 'n stupid wife, 'n ya know there's f*** all she can do ta change (sorta like wot you reckon ya know about us suburbanites) then do ya really imagine ya gunna get huge returns from wot you see as tha valuable investment of ya time in every time ya look at her or think about her, announcin' ta her 'n/or tha world [whichever might be closest]: "F** ya (as in me missus when talkin' ta tha world) is REALLY ugly 'n stupid!"?

Yeah all that maths stuff is high falutin'. I think old mother cat feels the same way as you Jethro.
It's actually not mate - Even a dumb f*** like me can understand it - When 'n if I can be bothered trying.
In fact it's actually EXTREMELY basic 'n simple - Unlike lots of probs ya cum across out in tha real world that just can be genuinely complex/complicated/difficult/challenging.

That's correct Tezza - It's not like doing a bit of basic stats ever required me ta take me shoes 'n socks off so's I could continue countin' on me toes ...Hmmm - Wot are ya like when it cums ta that really old 1970s Codd's relational shit ta hold tha data ya basin' ya models on Tezza? - Or have you moved onta object orientated models?
PS: Me, I'm just old school so Codd's shit worked well enough for me - But f***, that object orientated shit was bein' rabbited on about a couple of decades back - But not seems ta have gone anywhere? ... Any suggestions on why Tezza? (Wif me just not havin' paid much attention 'cause I reckoned wot wif me bein' old 'n f***ed I'd be outta all such shit before any really new shit hit anyway - Which I was/am... )

Sure Jethro. Like counting critters.
Cummon Tezza - You can do better than that ... Flocus glasshopper, flocus! - LOL
Oh alright, ya probably can't - But never mind Tezza; We all have our limitations wot's naturally dictated/imposed by nature ...
Creepy clowns are a very small microcosm of suburbia. Their existence is for their own pleasure, much like internet trolls. Creepy clowns are getting much coverage in the media. The question is whether or not their behavior is merely anti-social or malicious (which is an extremity in my opinion). The probability of being attacked by a creepy clown is low in my opinion. You're probably as bad as it gets mother cat and you're relatively harmless.
That's fascinating Roddy - you've studied this topic deeply. What else can you tell us about the creepy clowns?

The thread has reached the stage (as they all do) where Roddy knows he's f***ed up with his maths and statistics again, but he can't admit it, so he wants to waffle about trolls and puppets and clowns and stuff for a while to divert attention away from his blunders. I always find it's best to humour him at this point - i.e. politely feign interest in his waffle until he runs out of steam.
"The truth is that there are no good men, or bad men. It is the deeds that have goodness or badness in them. There are good deeds, and bad deeds. Men are just men."
LOL, Roddy, price/income and price/rent ratios are always expressed as a number.
First you claimed it was impossible to calculate Z for the price/income ratio. Then you claimed Z-scores must be calculated from whole numbers (also a daft claim).
Just admit you were wrong and move on, instead of trying to waffle your way out of yet another blunder.
Here's the list (so far)...
1. You claimed there were only four components (there are five) 2. You said Z can't be calculated for a ratio (it can, and is, for example by the IMF) 3. You said Z-scores need to be calculated from whole numbers (also false) 4. You claimed Z for the average can be -0.5 (Z for the average is always zero) 5. You said a z-score is not a deviation from an average (that's exactly what it is) 6. You claimed a deviation expressed as a percentage would be just as useful as a z-score (also wrong)
Keep digging Roddy.
Wonder if Roddy's been educating himself on Z-scores over the past few weeks...
