No one would or probably could. There are real problems in rocky, according to many, caused by poverty. Anyone living there needs to put the police hotline number at the end of this story in their speed dial list. I'd go so far as to say No #1 on the list.
Frontline police give insight to Rockhampton's DV woes May 2015
IT'S almost a miracle going to work on any given day and not being called to a domestic violence incident in Rockhampton. Frontline Rockhampton police officers yesterday gave The Morning Bulletin some insight into the region's appalling domestic violence scene, which some describe as one of the worst in the state.
The Morning Bulletin will speak to various community organisations, individuals and groups to raise awareness of domestic violence throughout the month of May. In the four years she has served in Rockhampton, Constable Natasha Millar has almost never had a day where she did not receive a call to attend a domestic violence matter. Before she was posted to Rockhampton, Const Millar was based in Bundaberg for 12 months. Domestic violence was far more prevalent in the Beef Capital than in Bundaberg, she said.
A lot of the reported incidents rendered down to alcohol and drug use, and were much more common with people from lower socio-economic backgrounds. One interesting point Const Millar made was that domestic violence matters also included relationships where there was economic and financial abuse. For example, that could be when a spouse was not providing his or her partner with money for grocery essentials. She wanted to remind residents it was also an offence to contact the police about a domestic violence incident, and not co-operate with their instructions.
Const Millar has been to several domestic violence incidents where weapons have been involved. "These matters are often fuelled by alcohol, and/or their partners are extremely intoxicated," she said. "Sometimes we do receive calls about repeat offenders and we will often get as much information as we can from our communications centre to ensure the safety of parties and our officers. "If you want to report a domestic violence incident, contact the police immediately by dialling 000.You can also contact Rockhampton Police Station on 4932 3500.

I would say the 545 property is a good litmus test for the heat of rocky market... if they dan pull that kind of money, the market is doing fine.
My parents just sold a property in Townsville... difficult to gauge if they did well as the house was old and requires a lot of work, but it has views to die for...
Townsville would have to do better. It's above sea level

lol, yes.. this particular house has Mountain, Ocean and Island views on 1/4 acre so lots of potential... still, it has taken a hit over the last few years...
