Worth keeping an eye out for when it sells... frank, want to have a guess at how much money they spent improving it ? My very rough guess is 200k, but its just a wild guess...

I reckon you are right but god only knows why they worked off the original dump.
Far easier to push it over and slide in a top quality removal home.
Then it probably would have been not much more than $100k - mind you, it wouldn't have been as good as that place but still a beauty none the less

A couple of old adages come to mind:

* It's dirty work - But someone's got to do it, and

* Hey, there's money in muck.

A couple of concepts that elitists disdain I guess? :)

Just plain old vanilla "supply and demand"
1+1=2

And still they don't get it?
Matthew, 30 Jan 2016, 09:21 AM Your simplistic view is so flawed it is not worth debating. The current oversupply will be swallowed in 12 months. By the time dumb shits like you realise this prices will already be :?: rising.

People do odd things with property... there is onky 1 time i think we overcapitalised a property, and that was because my wife had set her heart on us staying there forever.

These guys really went overboard, perhaps they fell in love with the idea of restoring an old gem.... oh well, good luck to them...
Shadow - Defrauded his Bank ? 2015 I have 9 different loans and my bank had no idea which ones were personal and which were investment. They had half of them classed incorrectly. When this change came in they asked me to tell them if any personal loans were incorrectly classed as investment, which I did, and they switched them to personal for the lower rate. They also had a couple of investment loans incorrectly classed as personal. They didn't ask me about those. So they stay on the lower rate too. Worked out pretty well. :)

I support aborigonal reconciliation herbs and I have no issue with Australia's multiculturalism. It has brought diversity and lots of genuine hardworking people to this country, without whome the retirement lifestyles of our aging population would have suffered due to lack of economic growth. Yet you as an indigenous australian seem to think this country belongs to you alone.

You have been emancipated herbs, don't put yourself back into the bondage of racial hatred. Those stories about racism you constantly dig up are only rare occurrences in a otherwise beautiful diverse culture. Let them go herbs, move into the future with us, let go of the past hates mate.

You're not very good at this guessing game are you Fuckwit? :

First Guess: herbie is young
First Fact: herbie is a boomer

Second Guess: herbie is heavily in debt
Second Fact: herbie is totally debt free

Third Guess: herbie identifies as ATSI
Third Fact: herbie doesn't strongly identify as anything when it comes to race - Because he finds racism effing loathsome (though to the extent he might choose to if he wished to, with his mob having been here a good while (a convict/a dude at the Barcaldine bunfight in 1891/a WWI Lighthorseman/a card carrying member of the Commie Party in the Great Depression etc), plus having come from a few different places at a few different times, and the odd bit of the puzzle being missing [like some of your brain cells], it would be some sort of mongrel mixed race bogan white Aussie ... :D )

Stick to making guesses on gold prices maybe TWT? - At least with that being volatile, the price of it does sometimes go up like you keep guessing it will.

But when it comes to making guesses on me, your track record to date has just been to get it wrong 100% of the time.

Australian Property Forum is an economics and finance forum dedicated to discussion of Australian and global real estate markets and macroeconomics, including house prices, housing affordability, and the likelihood of a property crash. Is there an Australian housing bubble? Will house prices crash, boom or stagnate? Is the Australian property market a pyramid scheme or Ponzi scheme? Can house prices really rise forever? These are the questions we address on Australian Property Forum, the premier real estate site for property bears, bulls, investors, and speculators. Members may also discuss matters related to finance, modern monetary theory (MMT), debt deflation, cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin Ethereum and Ripple, property investing, landlords, tenants, debt consolidation, reverse home equity loans, the housing shortage, negative gearing, capital gains tax, land tax and macro prudential regulation.
