It's gonna be yeah.. Yes..

The Greeks consider Greece as their birthplace but... Europe is their HOMELAND.
Look at sentiment by the people.
Newjerk? can you try harder than dig up another person's blog. My first promo was with Billabong and my name in English is modified with a T, am Perth born but also lived in Sydney to make my $$
It's Absolutely Fabulous if it includes brilliant locations, & high calibre tenants..what more does one want? Understand the power of the two "P"" or be financially challenged
Even better when there is family who are property mad and one is born in some entitlements.....Understand that beautiful women are the exhibitionists we crave attention, whilst hot blooded men are the voyeurs ... A stunning woman can command and takes pleasure in being noticed. Seems not too many understand what it means to hold and own props and get threatened by those who do.
Banks are considered to be law abiding and & rather boring places yeah not true . A bank balance sheet will show capital is dwarfed by their liabilities this means when a portions of loans is falling its problems for the bank.

I have no dislike of the German people and I find them to be much like anybody else.

That is the lesson that we all need to take from history. It is within us all to be murderous, sadistic killers just as much as we can all be charitable and caring.

It is convenient for the rest of us to label Germans, Japanese and ISIS militants as the bad guys and consider ourselves to be above them, but we are all the bad guys given the right (or wrong) circumstances.
If they vote no, a lot of good greeks will turn bad. With no food or petrol Greece will turn into anarchy, and of course (re: Katrina in NO) it takes a little while before help arrives. It will be a mess short term.

I'm sticking my neck out and guessing "yes". But there are a million things that could easily happen between now and then, including the referendum being called off.

Actually deep down most of Europe don't like or trust Germany.
If it was just the Germans the Greeks would have a lot less to worry about. but the Germans' opinions are actually not as hard as the Finns, the Austrians and the Swedes and very similar to the Dutch, and the Luxembourgers and not much harder than the French.

Not many of the rest of the EU are sympathetic to Greece.

Some polls are indicating the NO vote is ahead.

http://www.newsweek.com/no-vote-lead-greece-polls-show-348954
The vote will be an emphatic YES to a bailout package. Syrizia has made no guarantee to the greek people that there will be a functional government come Monday with a vote to oppose the bailout. No guarantee has been made on public service wages, pensions etc. As one Democratic leader put it "If we vote 'No' we might as well all go to the bottom of the Aegean sea"

i vote yes with a caveat

if there actually is a referendum yes they will accept 'a' bailout package, although it will probably be a last minute concession package from euro area groups

also to consider that July 10th there is a 2 billion euro payment due to short-term treasury holders, who these are? and who would be affected by a default/arrear on these? maybe they will sidle with euro group and enhance bailout package, probably better to bail out and get some more blood from the stone

i am also expecting that euro banks/countries understand how close they are to pushing Greece into the clutches of an antagonist in Russia

if europe do not offer a tenable bailout it is possible that Russia will step in at last minute and bail out and have the possibility of a proxy vote through Greece in the euro area, i.e. euro are pushing sanctions against Russia and would be to Ru's benefit to have a proxy vote, optionally Russia may let Greece slip into the abyss and then become their saviour and use Greece as a wedge and if waiting they can simply say we stepped in to pick up the pieces but the risk is then that Greece may not retain euro status

i don't think there is any advantage to Greece being left to default, if this is allowed to continue i would expect that this could potentially lead to a civil war, someone will step in to take advantage of situation for power struggle and with plenty of idle youth civil war is always a potential outcome

this is power struggle, and Greece will be used as a wedge, ironically as the quote attributed to the Greek Aesop 'united we stand, divided we fall...'

Interesting that it's currently at a tie after 14 votes.

I, like the polls, have absolutely NFI of the outcome. So I voted with the heart (no)
"It were not best that we should all think alike; it is difference of opinion that makes horse races." - Mark Twain on why he avoids discussing house prices over at MacroBusiness.
"Buy land, they're not making any more of it." - Georgist Land Tax proponent Mark Twain laughing in his grave at humourless idiots like skamy that continually use this quip to justify housing bubbles.

Well then I change my 'abstain' to a Yes.

I think the fear campaign will work... they will vote yes with the hope they can get access to their bank accounts again... then watch them empty them out ready for the future exodus.

The vote was timed badly... a month ago, it would have been an easy No... with the deadline past, the bank's access to Euro was limited and the panic of not accessing their bank accounts hits hard.

Having said that, a month ago there was no question to put on the referendum.

Edit .. hmm might not even get to hold it at all

lol... edit.

scratch that... court finds referendum can go ahead.

Shadow - Defrauded his Bank ? 2015 I have 9 different loans and my bank had no idea which ones were personal and which were investment. They had half of them classed incorrectly. When this change came in they asked me to tell them if any personal loans were incorrectly classed as investment, which I did, and they switched them to personal for the lower rate. They also had a couple of investment loans incorrectly classed as personal. They didn't ask me about those. So they stay on the lower rate too. Worked out pretty well. :)
Shadow - 2008 Sydney Median House Price 1.25M by 2014-2015

Peak of boom: 2014-2015. Sydney Median Price: $1,250,000 Bottom of bust: 2017-2018. Sydney Median Price: $1,100,000

I predict a rejection of the bailout. By a landslide.
Clever bugger. Time for bed...
Matthew, 30 Jan 2016, 09:21 AM Your simplistic view is so flawed it is not worth debating. The current oversupply will be swallowed in 12 months. By the time dumb shits like you realise this prices will already be :?: rising.
