Well it would be better to use your super now and get into the market and have your own home paid off for when you retire, because if your renting when you retire your super will disappear quicker than Hudini.
I reakon this will prop up the property market for another couple of decades. Buy now people! Dont miss the boat again!

This has been allowed in Canada for years now. I think it should be allowed in Australia to help the FHB. I was able to use up to 20 grand of my retirement savings but the money borrowed must be paid off (interest free) within a certain amount of time. It worked out great for me as I would not been able to break into the property market when I was in my mid twenties. I was able to pay off the 20k within the next five years while the unit I bought increased 30% in value when the big boom happened in 2007 then I sold it and made a nice profit before it crashed in 2009.

Ireland house price are now cheaper than ten years ago, closer to 15 with rates at zero seven years.
US house prices below, wind the graph back so it shows from 2005 until now, and see if you can find any place that is not cheaper than ten years ago....
Another desperate attempt by monkey joe at a cash grab and try to spur more artificial growth in an economy he knows is dying. The day before it was his grey army working until they are 70. The dope does not understand there no jobs for the old or our youth. Dirt cheap asain labour fixed all that for us. No mention of this, the facts... Or the problems they are causing now or in future. No mention of job creation or anything of a sort to spur some economic growth as he knows that joke is over and does not even waste his time with that.
You cannot pay your rent or motgage with no job . Our jobs are dissapearing fast.
Just another desperate attempt to milk every last cent from people. To literally milk this thing to its death.
