Australia should import immigrant selectively. No race discrimination, it's a bloody statistical fact that Muslim immigrants commit unproportional crimes comparing with their population in Australia.
What did you find so objectionable about that post, Peter?
If your bullshit detector doesn't go "ding, ding" when you read a comment like "This is also the result of ignorant do gooder fools who are only to happy to let any piece of filth into our country" Doc, you've got your bullshit detector turned off.
A Professional Demographer to an amateur demographer:"negative natural increase will never outweigh the positive net migration"

What do you find so objectionable about the idea that the psychopath should not have been allowed into Australia in the first place?
Being a first rate nutter is not an exclusively religious thing. Just like being religious doesn't make you a nutter.
What happened today had nothing to do with religion or race. It was the action of a total nutter.
If you think you can make amends by punching a bloke in the head because his surname sounds middle eastern, then I am more worried about living in the same country as you than I am about sharing an office with a devout and kind Muslim.
I am more worried about stubbing my toe than I am about sharing an office with a devout and kind Muslim.
More worried about dandruff, the size of my electricity bill, what to get the missus for Christmas.

Good question. Ask your average Pommy migrant and he will tell you about the hoops of fire he had to jump through to get here.
Criminal record and character checks, health checks, skills assessments etc.
Not really sure if this bloke would have got in as a skilled migrant.
Matthew, 30 Jan 2016, 09:21 AM Your simplistic view is so flawed it is not worth debating. The current oversupply will be swallowed in 12 months. By the time dumb shits like you realise this prices will already be rising.

Was he a nutter before he came here? (I don't know.)
But anyway, I find it objectionable that he did what he did.
And I also find it objectionable that we've got home grown nutters saying stuff like "This is also the result of ignorant do gooder fools who are only to happy to let any piece of filth into our country."

I suppose that is the big question that will be asked. In the meantime, we could make Australia "fail safe" by not letting anybody in and we could throw out or gaol anyone who says anything we don't like.
Perhaps we could selectively breed pure Australians fed on a diet of meat pies and choc milk.

It's also true that Aboriginals are massively overrepresented in criminal activity statistics.
What are you proposing we do with this information?

There are some people who believe in an open borders policy. Some of them are well-meaning commercial types like Peter Fraser who want a never-ending stream of migrants to feed unlimited economic growth; others are self-loathing types who just hate Australia's guts and want to change it radically by overwhelming it with alternative cultures or just want to cut up the Australian pie into as many pieces as possible for the whole world to share.
Then there are others who believe that incidents such as this are nothing more than good people breaking bad because they have suffered "disadvantage" and feel "marginalised" as a result of living in "poverty".
All of these voices, in my view, are in one way or another chipping away our security.

Absolute unadulterated garbage Doc, I usually stay out of the immigration threads.
You won't find a quote from me anywhere saying that I want a never ending stream of immigrants. You don't normally make things up so now would be a good time to stop.
I'm fast getting over the BS that people claim that I say, here and at MB.
