@Gunner

Understand that angry idiots like grumpy frumpy fail to realize is that, yes we do need to sometimes discuss/debate the facts that involve finance, stats, economics, global events etc ..& they do all contribute to investing.

However, he simply doesn't understand the actual personal realities of what involves being responsible in maintaining mortgages. The logistics of what it means to hammer & destroy the crap of what's being owed.

Nothing beats that resolve, that feeling of "yes! It's over with the bank" by either an individual (which was for me) & yes between a loving partnership between a man & woman.

As not an average woman, I've not just contributed with the man to pay the way with the IPs , but I also initially set myself up before a committed relationship yes with some assistance from Parents.

Despite my different privileged circumstances, I will say this to you.

I'm really happy that things are going great fiancially in your resolve in getting rid of the debts.

You & your supportive wife have proven that your heads are screwed on in aiming for a positive financial future. Be on fire & go full steam ahead in saying bank bye bye.

Then
Celebrate it in a way that's really meaningful & special to only you both.

Those who don't get it, will continue to be jealous & venomous.

Be proud & don't let anyone put you down.

Newjerk? can you try harder than dig up another person's blog. My first promo was with Billabong and my name in English is modified with a T, am Perth born but also lived in Sydney to make my $$
It's Absolutely Fabulous if it includes brilliant locations, & high calibre tenants..what more does one want? Understand the power of the two "P"" or be financially challenged
Even better when there is family who are property mad and one is born in some entitlements.....Understand that beautiful women are the exhibitionists we crave attention, whilst hot blooded men are the voyeurs ... A stunning woman can command and takes pleasure in being noticed. Seems not too many understand what it means to hold and own props and get threatened by those who do.
Banks are considered to be law abiding and & rather boring places yeah not true . A bank balance sheet will show capital is dwarfed by their liabilities this means when a portions of loans is falling its problems for the bank.

Boy, you really haven't seen me after a few pints pal. Then you'll know what risk is.

We have all seen you after a fair few pints, Miles. Not pretty
Definition of a doom and gloomer from 1993
The last camp is made up of the doom-and-gloomers. Their slogan is "it's the end of the world as we know it". Right now they are convinced that debt is the evil responsible for all our economic woes and must be eliminated at all cost. Many doom-and-gloomers believe that unprecedented debt levels mean that we are on the precipice of a worse crisis than the Great Depression. The doom-and-gloomers hang on the latest series of negative economic data.

Why should I explain if you can't do basic math? Unless 10 hour days are the norm for you. Then you're a chump.
Standard day for a contractor in IT is eight hours. You have stated before that you're on less than $1000 per day.

Let me know how much less and I'll re-do the maths.

And then deduct 4 weeks holidays, sick leave, carers leave, public holidays, study leave, long service leave, a wellbeing day and 9.5% for super.

What sweet wicket. Like a decent IT FTE without the work from home option. And a 20 day termination clause.

Oh, and how much does your agency take per hour? Clippin' the ticket....

You must have missed the post about the rate increase.

I can claim a great deal through my LLC (including a portion of the rent) to reduce my tax burden.
Adding spouse's take home puts us way into the high end of the household income scale.

If you still think that's a shit wicket you are living in cloud cuckoo land - further proof that the bulls here are so myopic they see everything through the lens of capital appreciation.

Further proof that we're perilously close to either a correction or a revolution.

As long as adversely selected megalomaniacs (possibly with psychopathic tendencies) hold the levers of power, they will continue to rule on behalf of the Few by exploiting the Many. This is so not just in Australia but worldwide.

As Mr Piketty has shown, the world is returning to a state of entrenched inequality of wealth after the aberration of the twentieth century.

But it is not just wealth. Wealth begets power, and power begets more wealth.

All around the world, “The Great Restoration” is under way: the winding back of the twentieth century ideals of egalitarianism, democracy, and self-determination. The restoration of entrenched wealth, privilege and power is proceeding apace, and at this point there is simply nothing standing in its way.

The only thing that can save Australians – indeed the only thing that will save the majority of the human race – from a return to serfdom is to limit the power of the psychopathic minority who seek to dominate and brutalise their fellow human beings.

It may be unpalatable to many, but this means Democracy. Genuine Democracy. A form of Democracy that gives The People an effective say in the government of their country, not just a token vote for a corrupt politician once every few years.

It may be unpalatable to many, but this means giving the Riff-Raff, the Scum, the “Bogans”, the Hoi Polloi, the Plebs, the Prols, the “Mob”, a genuine say in the government of their country.

The grim choice is between giving power to:

a) ordinary people whose judgement you may not trust; or

b) megalomaniacs who are absolutely guaranteed to abuse that power to your detriment.

If the Battle for Democracy can be won, all other things will follow.

If the Battle for Democracy be lost, then it is Game Over for all us.

The site is for the discussion of property and related economics. If you want to piss and moan then you won't get any sympathy, and nor should you.

I thought one of the endearing qualities of this site is that you can piss and moan. The accusation that Chris is making is that he's getting posts deleted as part of some housing mafia conspiracy. Which from my experience is complete crap.

You can definitely piss and maon if that's what floats your boat, but you'll either get ignored or bagged for it.

Australian Property Forum is an economics and finance forum dedicated to discussion of Australian and global real estate markets and macroeconomics, including house prices, housing affordability, and the likelihood of a property crash. Is there an Australian housing bubble? Will house prices crash, boom or stagnate? Is the Australian property market a pyramid scheme or Ponzi scheme? Can house prices really rise forever? These are the questions we address on Australian Property Forum, the premier real estate site for property bears, bulls, investors, and speculators. Members may also discuss matters related to finance, modern monetary theory (MMT), debt deflation, cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin Ethereum and Ripple, property investing, landlords, tenants, debt consolidation, reverse home equity loans, the housing shortage, negative gearing, capital gains tax, land tax and macro prudential regulation.

Forum Rules: The main forum may be used to discuss property, politics, economics and finance, precious metals, crypto currency, debt management, generational divides, climate change, sustainability, alternative energy, environmental topics, human rights or social justice issues, and other topics on a case by case basis. Topics unsuitable for the main forum may be discussed in the lounge. Accusations, attacks, abuse or threats, litigious or otherwise, directed against the forum or forum administrators aren't tolerated and will result in immediate suspension of your account for a number of days depending on the severity of the attack. No spamming or advertising in the main forum. Spamming includes repeating the same message over and over again within a short period of time. Don't post ALL CAPS thread titles. The Advertising and Promotion Subforum may be used to promote your Australian property related business or service. Active members of the forum who contribute regularly to main forum discussions may also include a link to their product or service in their signature block.
