Van this discussion never happened, it's a product of someones' imagination.
Let's be a bit more explicit Peter...

Barista (OP) either made this up, or ripped it off someone else who made it up. There was never any Q&A episode as described in the OP. It's a made up fairy tale.

Either Barista is extremely dishonest or got sucked in.

I must admit it's a good fake, had me sucked in till Google came to the rescue. Whoever wrote the 'transcript' is either a copy writer, or has a bright future as one.

Its OK penny.

Apart from your twisted sense of lifestyle choices you are only to happy to force upon our country.

You just keep that building frenzy going as long as you can, rents are dropping .

Its all about money, not about preserving our lovely country.

Problem is ,you are destroying both.

So we might end up with cheap housing and rents penny, but have to put up with all the shit you let flow through our front door.

When we could of had cheaper housing without letting all this shit into our country in the first place :wak:

That's the sad part.

I am currently benefiting from inflated prices, but it's a poor policy response IMO

I'm all for progress, but little positive change has come from an increasing population. Maybe it will take some time for services to catch up with demand. Who knows.

The person behind the 'Barista' account is just some fringe lunatic who has a fixation with Gunnamatta (James) at MB.

The sad part is all the people that have to cram onto trains and busses like sardines with people that have never worn deordourant in their lifes, and made to feel as though they are travelling in some third world country.Lucky for me I only have to put up with the odd cab driver. No parking at the local shopping center anymore, too many migrants now taking up all the spaces there too.

If only we could have our lovely country back the way it used to be when I grew up here.

Just look at what a mess it has become, economically and socially.

Multiculture , the demise of the western world and the beautiful places they once were. The facts could not be any clearer.

If you did not grow up here, I guess you have no clue as to just how good it once was here.

I get where you're coming from with part of that post.

I wouldn't mind a boost in population if the cities were better equipped to handle it though. As it stands, there are going to be limitations with building wider roads etc, so there will be a natural ceiling to how high the population can go before the negatives outweigh the positives. At the moment the plan seems to be 'let's just bring in more people to assist with this quarters GDP'

The planners are often short sighted. This can be seen in many new developments where there's a lack of commercial zoned property. Looking at established areas, we usually find streets filled with shops, but that doesn't always happen anymore.
