Hilarious, without a breach?..........no chance - the termination form even states that a reason of sale can not be used for fixed term tenancy.
fwiw - you can come to agreement to end early..........last place negotiated receiving a $20k+ relocation package as they wanted to sell with 15 months left on a fixed period.
and yes Blondie have said many times renting currently.............pay less than 0.5% yield but also own properties as well...........that $ is put to much more productive use than falling in price property and interest.
as for pets if you are a good tenant/relationships with agents never had any issue even in places advertised as none allowed - i also allow pets at my properties...........so karma is balanced.

It will allow breaches Or the situation if the premises has been destroyed rendered uninhabitable,ceased lawfully useable as a residence ( eg drug lab) , or deemed appropriated or acquired by an authority by compulsory process.
About pets? Have had some neg experiences, with one bored mutt damaging flooring. Felines can be ok but 1 got abandoned so we adopted her..a good ending. But I do recall my parents having to bring unwanted pets to shelters as a kid, it really made me upset what some can be capable of.
You do realize there's been no mention in the op about the specific lease type, so we are rabbiting on here...
I usually plan ahead if I wish to sell..with a mix of old & new props I still like to bring it to its best presentation when it's time to turf it...even if it's a modern 4x2 it doesn't hurt to spruce it up with paintwork..does wonders to do neutral color & feature walls.
