Property owners pay the same taxes, if not more than anyone else. So you are entirely driven by sour grapes to claim infrastructure is some kind of free ride for them.
So October, the middle of the spring selling season shows us prices fell for Perth,Canberra,Darwin, Hobart and also Adelaide, and with the lowest interest rates in history and every ponzi pumping measure imaginable being used.
You will probably find rents in all these places are also dropping . But surely all this record overbuilding combined with recent twelve year high unemployment levels and wages dropping for the first time in history will put a stop to this.
How will your interest only loans play out if we see property prices 20% cheaper in ten years time like california is now. And to achieve this fantastic result in one of the more desirable US destinations, we have pumped trillion after trillion into the economy and had rates at zero for the last six years.
How will these interest only loans go with falling rents, tennants losing there job or skipping out and moving back overseas. More vacant properties coming onto the market to go with the record overbuilding. How about mortgage holders losing their jobs and trying to rent out their ppor to cover costs while seeking cheaper accomadation with family or similar.
As we can see below, the road is coming to an end. An even with ten trillion thrown into the US economy since 2008, its still not working. We can also see that the US smashed rates down from early 2001 to 1%, to combat the rapid rise of cheap asian labour threatening their economy back then.
