Thanks paddytaskunas Please ignore the trolls here. Their entertainment is your response to them. Feed them occasionally as they are staved for a real life, but no need to get angry at them. Pity them really as they have nothing better to do than be anonymous trolls on a property forum. How funny....
You certainly do seem to have the right attitude and my only real concern are the risks, however as you stated, you seem to have them covered.
Not ever selling is a brilliant strategy.
Perhaps understand the demographics more for Tassie as it will be the first to feel the first real effects of an ageing society, followed by SA. This is unprecedented and therefore, your strategy can not be one that is based on the past performance.
All up, good on you and that is how most real people will feel for you. Trolls will just want an emotional response which you were starting to give them...lol
PS: I am a bear on residential property mainly because of my understanding of demographics, however I certainly can recognize a determined young smart man in you. :-)

Thanks mate, I appreciate the kind words. At the end of the day, I see Tassie as a really desirable place to live- and I believe in people seeing it as different to everywhere else. And learning about risk diversification 24/7 at uni, we do plan on buying in Vic next.
Either way, I'm giving it a crack. I don't wanna be one of the trolls, and be thinking "what if" for the rest of my life.
In all honesty though, I would appreciate this whole topic being deleted from the website. I had the article removed from the website it was originally posted, due to the negative responses it was getting.

How do I go about getting this removed?
Short answer. You can not. Take strength from the negavity and use it to your advantage. From what you have said to me, you certainly are no victim.
PS, the article is copyright, so you may be able to pursue it that way...the complete article post here would breach copyright laws.
Aren't I lucky that I'm not reliant on any of you clowns verifying my position or validating my achievements.
With all the assumptions made throughout this topic, I can see why you are all so successful.
Seriously... assuming I have only worked the last three years of my life.
Nothing is bull shit. But again, I have no need for you "forum heroes" to validate me.
Sorry mate, I hadn't factored the paper round into the equation. Makes perfect sense now. Actually my eldest child is nearly 14, and I'm trying to get him set up with a paper round, or else I have no idea how he will ever be able to afford a house. Any tips would be appreciated. Does using a bike speedup the process? You know it all helps.
Whenever you have an argument with someone, there comes a moment where you must ask yourself, whatever your political persuasion, 'am I the Nazi?'

Hello Patrick, I will remove text from the first post if requested by the copyright owner (Jennifer Duke), but the thread and subsequent discussion will remain. A better way to deal with negative responses might be to adress them directly as you have been doing in this thread, rather than trying to have the first post deleted.

Can I have your ABN and the Full names of the people who "own" this forum?
Australian Property Forum is an economics and finance forum dedicated to discussion of Australian and global real estate markets and macroeconomics, including house prices, housing affordability, and the likelihood of a property crash. Is there an Australian housing bubble? Will house prices crash, boom or stagnate? Is the Australian property market a pyramid scheme or Ponzi scheme? Can house prices really rise forever? These are the questions we address on Australian Property Forum, the premier real estate site for property bears, bulls, investors, and speculators. Members may also discuss matters related to finance, modern monetary theory (MMT), debt deflation, cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin Ethereum and Ripple, property investing, landlords, tenants, debt consolidation, reverse home equity loans, the housing shortage, negative gearing, capital gains tax, land tax and macro prudential regulation.
