That response almost makes me interested enough to go back to the securancy threat to see what your position on corruption is
The RBA was incredibly naiive thinking that Securancy could ever get a single government contract outside of perhaps New Zealand without some corruption happening somewhere on the line. As a result they opened themselves up to a situation that had zero upside and massive downside to all involved. They just should have sold the patents and washed their hands of the whole thing.
Corruption is a scourge that disadvantages me on a daily basis in most of my dealings. It makes me nearly annoyed as when people who have shown themselves capable of rational and civil discussion take the low road with snide and slanderous comments. It's on the same level as nigger jokes and just as disappointing.
The truth will set you free. But first, it will piss you off. --Gloria Steinem AREPS™
The thread is dead because most people find political sniping and whinging on non political forums to be petty and annoying.
Property developers being responsible for the corruption of 1:5 government members is trivial and anoying says someone who benefits from property speculation and 'ownership'
WHAT WOULD EDDIE DO? MAAAATE! Share a cot with Milton?

Have you ever thought that maybe jiggery pokery with things like rezonings, etc. is of significant disadvantage to the vast majority of people who own property? They are the people who are being stolen from.
Those c***s stole from me and now you are trying to insinuate I'm somehow in bed with them?

What a clueless dick.
the jiggery pokery is usually what happens in a society when the man with the most brown paper bags wins.
This is what corruption is all about, obtaining false advantage to gain that which belongs to others.
Im not responsible for that MIW, so a bit suprised that you think Im the "clueless fuck"
I'm pointing out that a very large proportion of them that post here have hoisted their colours alongside the corrupt.
We now have 1:5 members of an incumbent government sitting in the sin bin.
I look forward to many many more joining them.
I just wish the ICAC would stop believing that such lowbrow corruption is in their perview.
Clearly the nsw police service has all the powers and tools required to properly deal with every case we have heard of todate.
There is only one reason for not running these matters through a proper court, and that is our society is so intrinsically corrupt that we have a special court for the special people,l.
A court where the criminal behaviour of the elite is seldom punished by anything more than an overpayed lawyer going "nah nah, nah nah nah" and the media room guwaffing and howling so loud youd think they were sitting in the Commissioners lap and not in another room on the far side of the foyer.

To me it stinks. How would you like to be someone who owned another development in the same town?
Your competition using the public coffers to bail themselves out and simultaneously ruin your business.
I have family who have suffered at the hands of the govt too. Piece of land under a compulsory purchase order, then the bastards sold the land privately years later. Law unto themselves.
Whenever you have an argument with someone, there comes a moment where you must ask yourself, whatever your political persuasion, 'am I the Nazi?'
The West Australian can reveal that Peter McDowell, project manager with builder Hanssen when Pelago East was in the concept phase, is the Karratha branch president of the Liberal Party. Using Royalties for Regions funds, the Government paid $30 million, including $24 million up-front, for 50 apartments at the 178-unit Pelago East, but is struggling to sell 28 of them in a falling property market in competition with Finbar.
Richard Naulls, the Real Estate Institute of WA's Karratha branch chairman and a local agent of nine years, said the Karratha property market peaked in 2011 and started to fall at the start of 2012.
Mr Naulls said it was clear by September 2012 - a month before the Government paid $24 million into a trust account with the developer Finbar - that the market was in steady decline.
Australian Property Forum is an economics and finance forum dedicated to discussion of Australian and global real estate markets and macroeconomics, including house prices, housing affordability, and the likelihood of a property crash. These are the questions we address on Australian Property Forum, the premier real estate site for property bears, bulls, investors, and speculators. Members may also discuss matters related to finance, modern monetary theory (MMT), debt deflation, cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin Ethereum and Ripple, property investing, landlords, tenants, debt consolidation, reverse home equity loans, the housing shortage, negative gearing, capital gains tax, land tax and macro prudential regulation.
