Perhaps I'm mistaken but I haven't seen any bulls here giving blanket advice for people to race out and buy a house.
Could you find a quote for me?
I confess that I made a call to buy in 2009 - which turned out to be pretty good for those who did.
David is quite unusual because he signs off on every comment that he makes with his "Don't buy now" slogan without having a clue about the circumstances of the person that he is conversing with.
I have a client buying a house in rural Victoria now for $108K which is less than what she will earn this year - should he tell her not to buy a nice affordable house for her family? It all depends on circumstances.
Most often they say you have missed out. Usually before they tell you it's part of the cycle.
Dr What What's up your goat? Property losing value? I suppose if you got nothing, abuse is easy. Carry on, perhaps winge about my SSM trades?
Well, I find you to be an uninspiring combination of mediocrity and dishonesty. One or the other I could deal with but both gets a bit much for me. You're clearly someone who feels insecure about his station in life so you need to come here and tell lies about your "trades" — always announced retrospectively of course. How convenient for you! It reminds of Chris Becker's "live trades" fiasco. Didn't his performance turn south suddenly after he was required to declare his trades as he was making them? I could tell you last week's racing winners if you like. How helpful and clever of me! I maintain that you have little-to-nothing to offer anybody. I'd say you're a most depressing individual. You're a sort of metaphorical black hole that sucks energy from the people around you. Mediocrity I can deal with. But combined with your blatant dishonesty it's a bit too much. Thank goodness for the 'Ignore' option.

Why thanks for that, a free physiological assessment. Did you miss my post about SGP PUTS?
Noted. Bulls do not say buy now but do laught at those who did not buy and now some bulls are not buying. Got it.
I laugh at anyone who been consistently wrong about the market direction for the last few years yet somehow think we should be listening to their advice.

I think you are being a bit harsh on Pauk. His behaviour and attitude to property is understandable, but not excusable, when you consider that he went through a divorce which cost him his house. Obviously he would like a crash so that he can return to being a home owner but also because a crash could punish his ex. Her loss, of what used to be his, would make him feel better.
You might find bitterness and resentment as the root of many property bears attitudes.

lol.... I did give my house to my ex as I was the one leaving and I did keep my commercial holdings. I have no bitterness towards my ex at all, in fact quite the opposite.
I do not want a crash for my sake, but my kids and their kids sake. I am doing quite well and have no financial issues at all. You might notice that after the investment by Microsoft into my company, I remain the top grossing education app in the Windows store and have a very successful iOS business. My commercial holdings are all very much cash positive, and remain the shitty industrial blocks that no one wanted to touch. Note, the car wreckers on my main holding has now been a tenant for over 20 years and that property was cash positive from day one, as no one wanted it and I did have a very good relationship with Metway who were selling it off.
I really am not an anonymous evil forum poster like yourself and Shoddy and happy to be so. I stand behind what I say and am quite happy to not be just an anon troll. Perhaps you could disclose your identy to give you some credibility? I guess you will not as you prefer anon trolling. Noted.
I don't laugh at the kids who were sold a lemon and are sitting around with their lives on hold awaiting a fantasy crash. I genuinely worry about them and feel angry at the people who tell them these lies.
As long as they invest in something those kids are fine. Property is one of several ways to independence.
However, the *big* lie is that it is feasible to time a market without ever having a position in that market. Yes, it is theoretically possible to do it, but I don't know anyone who has done it whether it be in stocks or in property.
And that is what DBN is selling. A market-timing speculative strategy involving sitting on the sidelines waiting for the crash.
The truth will set you free. But first, it will piss you off. --Gloria Steinem AREPS™

To be fair to pauk he has posted some trades as he has made them - I haven't paid much attention, but I think some were bank shorts - probably haven't paid off.
Australian Property Forum is an economics and finance forum dedicated to discussion of Australian and global real estate markets and macroeconomics, including house prices, housing affordability, and the likelihood of a property crash.
