Well, if the appstore is domociled in oz then that's illegal.
On a sidenote, here's a picture doing the rounds of Chinese social media:
iTunes runs form the US as does the MS store. I develop for both and I can tell you that I have had discussions with MS regarding the GST and they really have no idea at all. Google are the same. An Australian developed app, sold to an Australian does not have any GST on it and it is one really big problem to me as I have to work out what to do. The xBox store does collect GST but the MS app store does not.
They must have spent millions on research to crack it. Suck all the brainless kids in firstly, then the kids buy them for their techno illiterate parents and you have 2 generations of people using clunky 2007 designed phones that won't even accept an sd card. Go apple. Go to Hell!
Shadow was hopelessly wrong about the Gold Bull Market. What else is he wrong about?

Yes, but the Itunes Australian store is quite distinct from the Itunes US store regardless of where the server might be. Different content and different pricing. It will only take Australian credit cards and Australian Itunes cards. This is most certainly not the case with the Google appstore which doesn't give a damn where your credit card is from, although some of the content on it is unavailable in certain geographies. Never bought from the MS appstore, so wouldn't know about that.

Problem with android is there are security issues with them, IPhones are much safer.
You've been taken for a ride if you really believe that...
iOS is no more secure than Android, the problem with Android is that manufacturers don't need to use all of its security features.
That and because Android has a much larger market share, it is more often targeted by malware.
And there are security issues with iOS as well, like the most recent, if you have iOS 7 on any device, anyone can gain access to your device without knowing your passcodes...
If you want a secure phone, choose a Blackberry, or an old Symbian phone. And even these have security issues. The best way to avoid a security problem, is to avoid having a phone at all.
New Apple iphones released and like our houses, they will cost more then what they sell for in America.
Now dont that make you feel rich!
lol, it costs as much to buy adobe software suite (photoshop and stuff) in australia, as to buy a return ticket to the US and buy it in the US. how about that ? that was on life hacker a while ago too. adobe australia have been decreasing their price since jan 2013. it's the proof that they have taken their customers for fools all this time. prices are not supposed to drop.
i got a samsung s4, after my iphone gave up on me all one morning (it started in recovery mode without any reason). i now know what i have been missing all these years. apple sucks.

Their product may be a housebrick now, but it revolutionised the market.
Companies that were household names leading their market simply disappeared when aapple entered the portable phone market.
And after that shake up, virtually unknown companies emerged and later smashed apple at its game- of producing quality innovative, stable product.
While Apple can no longer compete against htc, samsung etc in the handheld form factor, apple is doing what it does best and is moving into wearables.
Australian Property Forum is an economics and finance forum dedicated to discussion of Australian and global real estate markets and macroeconomics, including house prices, housing affordability, and the likelihood of a property crash.
