Seems to me that the iPhone 6 pro pretty-much matches the Samsung Galaxy S5 from a hardware perspective, although I'd want to see it get more that the standard 25-minute battery life of iPhones first.

China Mobile gave me a Galaxy S5 for free. The local version of the software is pretty clunky and I can't flash it with an after-market ROM because then I would lose the ability to connect to every LTE network in the world which is why I upgraded in the first place.

I find myself owning a few shares of AAPL again after a long break, so I wanted to watch the webcast while keeping an eye on the gyrations of the stock price. I couldn't, because you had to be running Safari on IOS or OSX in order to be able to see the stream! A little over the top I thought. Fortunately, CNBC is totally focussed on iTard products and gave almost real-time commentary. It seems the market really liked the Apple Pay initiative but was pretty "meh" about iPhone 6 and Apple watch.

The last phone I bought was a brand spanking new bottom of the range landline model down at the local Telstra shop maybe 3 years back - It cost $18 as I recall? LOL! (Hmmm - Just thinking about that, maybe it could have claimed a portion of that cost as a tax deduction??? But suspect I forgot? - Damn; I'm SO depressed! LOL! LOL! LOL!)

You could still claim it if you have the receipt! And because it cost less than $300 you don't have to depreciate it over 5 years or whatever. You're rich! Negative gear it!

Great thought! ... Nope; Sadly I can't locate the receipt. And given I don't have a credit card, I wouldn't have any record of the transaction that way either. But would it count if I drove to a JP about 10 klicks away (or whatever) and swore out a stat dec I had spent the loot? Then I could claim the 20 klicks return travel @ $0.77 per Km as a deduction too ... That way we'd be starting to talk REAL loot! LOL

I went to the Apple shop in Perth, wanted a new Mac book pro and a new i phone. It was going to buy the 2 items at a total cost of about $4,000.

I looked around the store and noticed the total lack of customers.

I then went for a walk and found a Sony Phablet for $729.00 at the Telstra shop.

I and so happy with it as it is the size of an iPad and also has a fully functional phone in it.

End game for Apple.

Oh the camera in the Sony is something to behold.

Yeah, because they sell music and so their itunes store has to collect the money inside oz. They can't get out of it.

You'd have to be a bit of a muppet to go the apple route on anything IMHO

Australian Property Forum is an economics and finance forum dedicated to discussion of Australian and global real estate markets and macroeconomics, including house prices, housing affordability, and the likelihood of a property crash.
