It's no different to the multitude of generic warnings that have gone before. Warnings, warnings, warnings. I want someone to give me an accurate timeframe. Is it too much to ask?
Your collective exuberance can outlast banks rational prudence.
So I guess the answer is........NO !
WHAT WOULD EDDIE DO? MAAAATE! Share a cot with Milton?

I honestly think it is too much to ask. There are so many variables and distortions in the system, that the exact timing is impossible to foresee. In my opinion, it's still fine to say that it is going to crash "at some point in the future".
Can someone give me a time-frame for when the "Big One" is going to hit LA? If someone says "8 years" and then it doesn't happen, only fools would say "I guess it's never going to happen then". This is actually an apt analogy for Australia's real estate bubble.

That sounds like the cry of a 5 year old. Have you been so spoilt by the last 20 years of sustained upward growth that you can't concieve of an equal downturn? Do you expect someone to give the interest rates 5 years out? Don't be childish.
Shadow was hopelessly wrong about the Gold Bull Market. What else is he wrong about?

This business of wanting a timeframe is ridiculous but it is typical of modern debt addicted people. It comes from being, as was said, spoilt. The gimme gimme now Now mindset. Our grandparents would roll in their graves if they saw how the average Australian uses debt now days. It's totally against all prudent future planning. Sorry for the rant.

I've given you one - approximately a year from now. After ZIRP and FHOG 2.0 deluxe edition.

Seems that someone has to pay for them Golly? And the 5 yo reckons it shouldn't be him. And by and large the world's central banks ('n bankers what gave the 5 yo the lollies on credit) agree with the 5 yo. Funny ole world ...

You want a timeframe doc...... How about now. You are just unable to see it. The economy is already beginning to crumble, house prices will follow, no rocket science.
When is it going to hail next doc? Can you give me a timeframe ?
Was talked about all over the globe in the US and euro for many years before the inevitable finally hit. Know one knows exactly when, but what they do know is, if you go on a mindless debt binge for decades on end the shit will eventually hit the fan. Exactly why the GFC surfaced, debt levels were pumped to death and eventually could go no further.
Ignorance is bliss doc, maybe change your avatar pic to something more appropriate.... Like daffy duck
does he think you are a fool if you dont think house prices will crash but maybe stay stagnant for afew years to balance out then start going up again? Becasue thats what i think, if prices drop the slightest all the FHB's who have been missing out and piling up on the side lines will jump into the market and push prices back up

Dream on - classic deluded bubble talk.
